I wake up to a knock on the door, " Wake up we have a huge day ahead." I get up slowly, what time is it? 3pm! I slept for about 6ish hours. I get up and unlock the door and open it. I open and Angus starts to laugh. I look at him confused.
     "You're hair looks so crazy."
     "Uh?"
"Look!" He pulls out his phone and points at the camera. I have totally bed head. I gave him his phone and tried to fix it but, I won't go back.
"What color you gonna dye it?"
     "You pick."
"Me, huh? Well, let's go black." Blonde to black is super extreme. As long as Mason cant find me I'll be fine.
"I'll have black hair and light blonde eyebrows."
     "What a look, huh?"
I nodded, right when we started talking his roommate walks in. He looks like he watches anime. He was the small square glasses and horrible acne. (Not saying that's bad.)
"And he's back," he smirked.I nodded.
"Back off," he growled at the roommate.
"Well at least let me know his name, Jesus, you can't even let him breathe."
     "I'm Jocelyn," I said.
I grabbed Angus hand and let him rush out of the house. Angus smiled, I loved it when he smiled. He opened the door for me and then got the car ready. He recommended that I wore a mask and glasses since people from Mason businesses would probably come looking for me. I wore a long jack, mask, scarf, glasses and a chocker, all black. They were his clothes, not mine. And for the chocker, I found a black string and put it on.
Masons men looking, for me? What's his job, working for the mafia? I highly doubt he would send me over to find me. I know for a fact he would come and find me himself. But, I started to notice that when we left the apartment (which were in the university campus) everything looked so different. I've never seen this part of town, it's very clean here. Back in our home in the good slums, we have old roads, crumbling and your local heroine dealer. I mean it's not the best neighborhood, but, it's definitely not the worst. It's like we were in the horrible places, we had a pretty good home. Some reason there were just a lot of drug dealers, they didn't even live there, they just came in a certain spot.
As we start to get closer I get more and more worried. The phone will keep reading the directions and that's what Angus would be focusing on but, my mind was starting to fill with doubt. How am I changing everything I've ever had? Why am I doing this? What would mason think? Why do I still care so much about mason? Will someone ever love me? What Angus thinking? Does he not like me? I start to scrunch my eyebrows together.
"Are you nervous," he said with a small smile. I felt my stomach twist and turn. This time the moon wasn't so nice with me. The tides kept growing bigger and bigger.
         "I'm just super nervous."
"I'm going to ask this just to make sure, do you want to do this?"
         "Um, yes...n-yes."
         "You do?"
         "I do."

         "We're here!"
We both got out the car and saw the solan. This took us a whole 40 minutes to drive to. We got in and we're asked if we made an appointment, Angus did most of the talking. He was nice about it though, it wasn't controlling. After filling some papers, we sat down and the lady started to mix the hair dye. I had goosebumps on my hands and legs.
I saw that Angus noticed, he blushed up, "Awwe," he dragged out, "don't be scared." He thought it was cute? Angus is almost as weird as his roommate. What am I kidding, I guess it is a little cute. After a while I couldn't look into the mirror, I just closed my eyes and prayed that it would all stop in a matter of time. The lady did some other stuff before she told me not to open my eyes ( I guess it's to make it a surprise) I made sure not to open my eyes in the final moments. She did some stuff were j had to stand up for some weird reason but shortly after that I sat back down. After about 10 more minutes she told me to open my eyes, my hair dark black. The first thing I do is touch it, it's real. She even did my eyebrows... I didn't feel her go anywhere near my eyebrows.
Angus ran up to feel my hair, "you look a lot better like this!"
"Do you like girls with black hair."
"No, I'm into red heads but, I love this black hair on you."  I shock my head and smiled. I'm happy he liked my hair. I'm actually super happy he likes my hair.
"You see the dye, like you requested, isn't permanent. It will turn from black, grey, to blonde again. See you love birds soon!"
         Love birds?
"We'll be happy to see you again!"
We walk out the store and into the car.
"You just let the love bird thing slide, huh?" I said while bucking my seat belt.
"What do want me to say, no I'm his dad."
I just shook my head and laughed.
        "You're such a clown."
        "I know, I know."
I don't know why I did this but, hand went into the hand he had relaxed. He and I worked together to squeeze our fingers into each other's and made sure they crossed. His thumb pressed up on mine. I felt something, the moon tides stopped, I was now under water. All the sudden life stopped and I was just looking at him. No, I can't do this. I'll just wait a week until I can discuss this with myself... discuss? (Word count: 1008)
