We Are Out Of Each Others Leagues

Chapter Thirty One

Two years later. Chad, Emma, Mason and I were sitting in our apartment playing poker. Mason and I have our own apartment now. And Chad and Emma lives a few blocks away from us in their own apartment. I get up and get us all something to drink and I sit back down again. Chad deals and it was my turn to play. 

"I raise you." I said and I put my chips on the table. It was now Mason's turn and he looks at my brother then at Emma and then at me. Chad nods and then he takes out something from his pocket. He gets up and he and put his cards upside down on the table. What is he doing. 

"I'm all in." he says and the next thing he takes out a small box. He opens it and he puts it on the table in front of me. Inside was a gorgeous silver ring with one diamond. I look up at him with a surprised look on my face. There were tears in my eyes.

He gets on his knees and he takes my hand in his.

"I'm all in baby. Always and forever. Will you marry me?"

"Oh my gosh. Oh yes." I jump in his arms and he falls down sitting on his butt. I wrap my legs around him. Luckily I had jeans on. Good thinking about that one Ri. I grab his face in my hands and I kissed him on his lips.

"Yes. Yes. Yes." I said.

Mason chuckles and Emma and my brother laughs. 

"I guess that the game is over?" my brother asks. 

I get up and help Mason up and I throw my cards on the table.

"I fold. I got everything I need." 

I wrap my arms around Mason and I rub his cheek.

"Right here. This is all I need." 

"I think we should get going." Chad says.

"No. Before you leave. Lets just drink to this. I got some champagne." Masons says and I nod looking at my brother and Emma.

"Okay." Chad says and he gets up. 

Mason puts the ring on my finger and we all go to the kitchen. Emma and I get some glasses while Mason opens the champagne. Chad grabs the glasses for him and Emma and Mason pours for us. Chad hold his up. 

"I just want to say something."

I sighed. Here we go.

"I never thought that I would be here witnessing my best friend getting engaged to my sister. But I couldn't have picked a better soulmate for my sister than my best friend. Riley you deserve someone like Mason. He will treat you well. And Mason you deserve someone like my sister. If she gives you any grief you always have me to back you up." Chad says.

"Nice." I say rolling my eyes at Chad.

"I'm kidding Ri. The last part. I hope all the happiness in the world for both of you. Cheers." Chad says and we all cheers.

"Thank you Chad." I said. It was actually sweet. 

We all drink our champagne. I put the glasses in the sink and we walk Chad and Emma out. Mason closed the door and I pull Mason closer to me. I kissed him and I put my mouth to his ear.

"Tonight I'm gonna give you whatever you want." I said and he leaves out a moan.

"Can't wait what you have." he says and he chuckles.

"Stay here. No scratch that. Wait outside the room. I will let you know when you can come in." I said and we both went upstairs.
