She worked non-stop, not even breaking for lunch or answering her brother's phone calls. She was drawn to the gigantic crystal, and she had not a clue why. Her intern and assistant, Evelyn, came in after lunch to help with whatever she needed; which in this situation was to reanalyze everything and make sure everything made sense while Spade spent the last two hours sitting and starting at the thing.

"Yume miteru
Nanimo mitei
Kataru mo muda na, jibun no kotoba
Kanashimu nante
Tsukareru dake yo
Nanimo kanjizu, sugiseba ii no
Tomadou kotoba
Atareraretemo
Jibun no kokoro, tada uwa no Sora
Moshi watashi Kara
Ugoku no naraba
Subete kaeru no, nara kuro night suru."

Evelyn sang while Spade mumbled the words quietly. The song ended and the younger girl sighed; "Spade, don't fire me for saying this, but you always sing TouHou some like they're Bohemian Rhapsody."

Spade chuckled, "Sorry Evelyn. I was thinking about this whole thing," she readjusted her brunette ponytail. "At least I can think-"

"Compared to Tony. I can tell just by you talking about him. Let me guess, he can barely function without coffee?" the Auburn haired girl said.

"How did you know?"

"One: I've seen his pictures. There is no amount of concealer to hide his under-eye bags. And two: my nephew is the exact same way." The two girls giggled.

"Well besides him being...well, him, he never fails to let me down. And I'm always hoping to impress him, and he with me; I couldn't ask for it any other way," Spade said happily.

Evelyn smiled at the fact that her boss was happy, but it quickly died because she noticed during the whole exchange, Spade never looked away from the giant jewel. "Can I ask what you are trying to find by starting at it?" asked the Auburn haired girl.

"There is something I'm missing. Something so obvious that I feel like if I blink it'll disappear. Something about this thing is drawing me to it. Only me." She rubbed her eyes and stretched her arms, hearing a crack in her shoulder. The fondness over her brother seemed to have vanished and was replaced by aggravation and confusion. "I tested my theory on Coulson, Cory from records and even Anatalia!"

"From the front desk?" said the young lady.

"The same bitch; she only focused on the crystal for fifteen seconds before she 'had' to quickly organize my files before her break ended," Spade said before affixing herself over the crystal again.

"Well if you want I could pick up some shawarma before the day is over. Hey do you want me to invite or at least call your brother cause you have 192 missed calls from him talking about details for a party-" she was interrupted be Spade holding up her hand in silence.

"Rewind. Rewind a sentence. What was it that you said just 1.33574 seconds ago?" Spade said quickly.

Evelyn thought for a moment before she repeated herself, "Calls from him talking about details for a party." Spade snapped her fingers and turned on her laptop.

"Details. DETAILS! Ugh I hate my crappy human eyes. There are tiny cuts on the edges of where the facets meet. At first I thought that they were just flaws from when the crystal was pulled out but they weren't uniform as if a claw pulled it out.... I get it now. I know what to look for!" She turned on the holo-projector that her brother made for her and uploaded a 3D image of the crystal, turning it around in the air a few times to make sure it worked properly. "Evelyn get Coulson and Doctor Benito in here now!" The intern nodded and when out the door while Spade tired on her laptop with the holiday still up, "Other way!" she shouted, knowing the girl went the wrong way.

Spade sighed, "I'm becoming like my brother. The tired sunsets and the tired people-it takes a lifetime to die and no time at all." she said before she turned her music back on and waited for them to arrive.

But while she waited, sitting alone in her chair and staring at the data she got from the gem, she started to hear feint whispers. Spade couldn't understand what language it was, but she could destinguish multiple voices; they were feminine for sure. She turned around and didn't see anyone... except the gem which now seemed to to have a more rhythmic glow to it than a random one. She tilted her head in curiosity, thankful her brown hair was out of her face by the ponytail. The more she looked at it, the louder the whispers were getting but Spade still couldn't understand them. Her chocolate colored eyes were wide as it shimmered and she reached out to touch it; suddenly the stone stopped glowing and she quickly pulled her hand away as Evelyn and Doctor Benito walked in. She greeted them and went to talk to them before taking a wary glance at the crystal.
