5. Ruith Mar a'Ghaoth

She ran and didn't stop. Spade didn't have a destination, she just kept running no matter what got in her way. She leapt through trees, over streetlights and buildings and as she flipped and swung through New York, she left a trail of tears. They even sparkled blue. He long and slender legs felt powerful and she was more flexible than before; not that she was liking her new body but it did feel nice to let herself free, almost as if she was somehow confined. But still she cried, because the one person she could trust was about to keep a secret from her for her whole life. But when Spade stored running on some building rooftop, she didn't sob when she sank to her knees.

"Yo girl, keep it together. Pull your thoughts together. You have a new body, heterochromic eyes, longer hair, and can shoot crystals from your hands. Anything else?!" she snapped at herself, faking a smile. "And your 'brother' hid your identity from you for 32 years," her smile faded into a saddened frown as she word away the last tear she had in her; "sparkles," she said looking at the blue drop in her hand, "I can cry blue sparkles."

She sat on that rooftop looking out into the city scape with the sunset behind it, wondering of the aftermath of today's events. Did Coulson and Evelyn worry about her and wonder where she was? Was Tony looking for her? Would anyone experiment on her if they found her?
"No," she mused to herself, "they would just think that I have long legs, dyed hair, and heterochromia. But still..." she looked at her hands, expecting an amethyst crystal to shoot out of it, "am I willing to go that far and say I'm a faerie?... I'm not even supposed to exist..." Spade said quietly. But when she didn't get any kind kind a sign, she sighed and pulled up her long legs from over the buildings edge; before she could leap away however, the door to the stairs in the roof opened and she heard the familiar clack of high heels.

"To the stars who listened," said the voice behind her. Space knew that voice all too well.

Smirking, she replied to finish the code phrase, "and the dreams that are answered." Spade turned her head to the owner of the voice. "Hey Natasha."

A/N
The video clip is from an anime called Land of the Lustrous (Houseki no Kuni). Is one of the best animes I've ever watched (not only that it's a good CG anime) and I would recommend it. I put the clip in to show how Spade would run throughout New York, with her new graceful flourish. The code phrase used at the end is a quote from A Court of Mist and Fury (I think, it's been a while since I read the book.)
