"I swear that I could see forever in your eyes."
I really, really, really, really hated my alarm clock. But you know what. Whatever, I'm not going to be scared of school. Who cares what those new people think. It's a new place. Away from that old town. I climbed out of bed and looked through my closet. I don't know why guys say girls take so long when getting dressed. This literally took a minute. It was a bit chilly, so I wore a beige hoodie and a denim jacket. I headed downstairs and sat down at the dining table where my dad was. Like always, my Froot Loops bowl was there, and so was his omelette with the melting cheese and fresh crimson-colored tomatoes with his freshly brewed coffee I could smell from miles away.
"Morning," I said over the sound of my slippers slapping the stairs.
"Good morning, honey." He said, looking up from his book as I sat down at the breakfast bar. He carefully placed his bookmark and placed the book on the counter.
"What are you reading?" I peered at the cover. Looked like some boring tech things.
"Just some research for work. How was your sleep?" He said after gulping down some caffeine.
"Good actually, bed was comfy," I pulled the bowl towards me.
"That's good! Guess what. Your school is just five minutes away. Walking."
"Great," I stuffed myself with my favorite cereal. "I can't be late."
I placed my cereal bowl in the sink, grabbed my bag, and stepped outside. "Bye, dad!" I said, locking the front door.

By the time I got my schedule, I was bound to be late. I had no idea where my class was, and I had less than five minutes before class. I looked around for the classroom on the paper. It read "Room 15: Chemistry," I sighed. Room 11, Room 12. "Room 9?" I mumbled. "How could this be h--?" I dropped my books on the ground, only now realizing I had bumped into someone.
"Sorry!" We said in unison. I looked up and saw a guy who had quickly bent down to grab my books. I sped up to catch up with him and carried the books quickly before he could trouble himself first. "Thanks," I said. God, he was cute. Those green eyes.
"Not a problem, it's my fault I wasn't paying attention to where I was going," he shrugged. I shook my head. "I'm Elijah." He got up and turned to me smiling, waiting for a response. I got up with my new textbooks and smiled back.
"Savannah."
"Nice name," he looked down at his schedule. "Need any help? I assume you're new. What do you have first?"
"That's right. I have Chemistry."
"Me too, actually. It's right over there." He pointed to a room next to me. I never noticed it before. The hell? At least I might not be late today. I nodded. "We can sit together if you don't mind" He offered, running his hands through his blond locks.
"Sure," where else could I sit?
I followed him inside and he sat down at the back. I sat down at the desk next to his and stuffed my backpack with the books the principal handed to me earlier. I pulled out a pencil as the bell rang and the teacher began to take attendance. I began to draw on my desk. I didn't realize Elijah was watching me until he leaned over and whispered. "You're so talented."
"Thank you," I tried to keep my voice down. Luckily, she teacher didn't pay attention. Elijah began to draw on his own desk. I looked over. It looked like a girl. Then I realized it was me. I rolled my eyes when he drew anime eyes. I knew mine were big, but not that big.
