"you're kidding me!" ryan shouted at his sister. this was a literal outrage; why would she object of her own brother's wedding?

"this wedding should not be performed because it is against the moral law of our family's church."

"can you forget about the fucking church for one minute?" ryan retorted, autumn bringing her hand to her o-shaped mouth in shock of his comeback.

"autumn, honey, sit down, you told us you weren't going to do this," ryan's mother said to her.

"i changed my mind. the lord is looking down in DISGUST at all of this!"

"get out of here," i said loudly at her. i wasn't going to let her ruin our wedding because her religion says what it says.

"don't tell me what to do, sinner!"

"let's go, autumn," ryan's father commanded while leading her out of the venue.

"i'm so sorry she did that," ryan said.

"it wasn't your fault, you don't have to apologize."

"is it time to finally continue with the wedding?" nicole asked.

"yes," both of us answered.

"whoever wants to say their vows first may start."

"ryan," i started, "you have been the love of my life for as long as i can remember. my passion for you has never left since i realized it was there in the seventh grade while watching a confirmation video in religion class. you are my best friend, my therapist, and, now, my husband. i know this sounds weirdly unrealistic, but i've fantasized about this day since before we were dating and i wouldn't have it any other way."

"brendon, i could say the same about you. the moment i knew i had a chance with you, i couldn't get you off my mind. i dreamt about you and wrote about you even when we were together. i was never sure if this day would ever happen, but here i am. i love you."

"i love you, too."

"you may now kiss the groom!"

we kissed and the applause and pete's screaming started.
