Nathaniel's POV:
My girlfriend seems upset. I can tell she is not her usual happy self. I can sense it. It is in the way she gives me a fake smile. What took place to make her usual smile fade away into nothingness? I reason with myself that perhaps she thinks I am mad at her for the date mishap.
I try my best to assure her that nothing is wrong yet, she still does not seem to be her self. What is it? I can not stand to see her this way. I must find out if it is the last thing I do.
Marinette's POV:
When I see Nathaniel today, I greet him! I try my best to act as everything is just peachy. However, I know that it is not. It seems ever since Chat left last night I have been anything, but okay. Why? What am I to do about it? It is not as if I could convince him to stay, when he is probably long gone by now. I try to tell myself that he is right and that he did the right thing. When then am I so upset as his words, "Marinette, after tonight you will never see me again! I move tomorrow...I love you, but I must let you go!" Oh, Chat I say to myself! Chat, why did you confess to me, kiss me and leave? I do not understand.
Alya's POV:
Wow, Marinette looks like she had a horrible night last night. I can tell. Her hair looks like it is in a mess, she appears to have thrown on some mixed matched clothes at the last minute and she gives her boyfriend so sad, fake smile. What is with her? Why is she like this? I wonder, if there is so way I can make an excuse to slip away from Max for a bit to speak to her? Surely, he will understand that I show concern for my friend, Marinette, right?
I walk away from Max and head towards Marinette. I hear him mutter something about how the bluenette with the pig tails appears to be distraught and continue on my mission to speak to her in private.
Max's POV:
I can tell Alya appears to be in thought. I am about to ask her what this is all about when she walks off in the direction of Nathaniel and Marinette. I wonder why? Then, it dawns on me that Marinette displays some unusual behavior today. I figure that maybe, just maybe my girlfriend notices this as well. This is a trait I admire in her. No wonder, I find her to be so attractive. She looks out for others, and is smart too. Wow! Plus, she is kind and rather pretty. I blush at the thought.
I smile as Alya continues to walk towards Marinette and give her a thumbs up. The thumbs up is to show my approval in what she seeks to accomplish right now. I also, try to tell her that I can tell Marinette is distraught. I am not sure if she heard me or not. Go figure! At least, Alya unlike anyone else seems to want to help the poor girl. I would help, but somehow I do not think her boyfriend would approve of my speaking to her. So, I just stand here and wait to see what happens next.
Meanwhile, in the USA, many miles away from Paris, France...
Adrien's POV:
I take a quick walk among the beach. I see many shells, a crab, and lots of people as they make sandcastles. I wave at them and they wave back at them. None of them speaks to me which is fine since I have no idea who they even are anyway. I am sure none of them knows me either, I mean how could they since I am new in town. I have only been her since some time yesterday. I even have to admit that my life is rather a bore.
Good thing, I got rid of my old phone. It had too many old memories on it anyway. Besides, my father still could contact me and find out my location on it. I kept my old sim card and when I got my new phone here put it inside. This way, I have a new phone, with a new number and no contacts programmed inside it. This way, I practically have a new life. I have the same photos on the phone.
