         Marinette's POV:

Marinette thinks since Adrien went back to being himself I am so happy.  No correction, we are happy. She smiles over at him glad to be with him at last.

"How about we have some fun at the beach tomorrow?" Marinette asks.

"Sure, sounds nice, Marinette," Adrien answers.

Marinette grins as she hands Adrien a small note she wrote for him before her arrival. She watches him as he reads it.  She can tell he is deep in thought. It as if he finds it hard to believe what he reads now.

         Adrien's  POV:

Adrien still can not believe Marinette is here with him now or that she is his girlfriend.  He holds her hand as he reads over the note she just gave him. He can tell she must have written it shortly before she got here.

        Dear Adrien,

Yes, I shall call you this since I know that you and Chat Noir are the same.

It was the same day Chole told me you were out of town I knew you were the one I love.

I was hurt to find you gone. I tried hard to make things work out with Nathaniel.  Only, he was not too happy because he could tell I  did not love him. He demanded I tell him who it was that he must compete with but I was afraid to answer.   He begins to slap me, then he hits me, and he even knocked me down.  He was horrible to me and I felt as if were my fault.  Then, at some point, I told Alya on a day when her boyfriend was sick.

Alya was the one who told me this was not normal. She said she worried Nath would kill me if I let him continue with this behavior.

I  called the police soon after our talk, but Nath came over and attacked me.  The police arrived just as he was about to hit me with a baseball bat.  They saw me as I stood in the corner afraid.  It was then, I knew Alya was right all along.  I did not want to believe it.  Yet here he was trying to kill me in front of the police.  I watched as they took his weapon away and arrested him.

Later, I got your note and knew you did not believe me. It hurt to know you would doubt me when I told you about the abuse. I thought I could confide in you.  Hopefully, I will see you again soon, and you will understand; that I had to dump him since he was far too dangerous.

Adrien, my dearest friend, and Chat, I love you!   I  always have, but was unsure how to explain it in the past. I wish I would have given you a chance sooner and never gotten together with the redhead boy.

By the time, you read this, I will have returned to you, my love.

        Sincerely,

       with love,

       Marinette Dupain-Cheng

Marinette's  POV:

Marinette can see Adrien wince and wonders what that was all about anyway. Then, again maybe he is still taken aback by the note he just read. It did tell more things she felt were necessary for him to know about her past.  Somehow, she had to let him know since she loved him.

"Adrien, I am sorry, if the note troubles you.  It just I had to tell you, and I found it hard to explain it," Marinette tells him.

She hugs him when he says nothing in response. She sees tears in his eyes again, she wipes them away with her hand.  She kisses him and feels him relax as he kisses her in return.

    Narrator's POV:

Adrien falls asleep soon with Marinette beside him.  His arms were around her waist.

*Author's note: Again, I do not write smut, so with that in mind, they did not do anything other than sleep.

Marinette dreams about their day on the beach. Adrien does so as well. It seems now that they are a couple their thoughts tend to connect.

       Marinette's  POV:

The next day, Marinette wakes up long before Adrien. She gets up and gets ready for the day.

She can hardly wait for their day at the beach.

"Adrien, time to get up," She says.

She laughs as he sits up with a funny expression on his face.

         Adrien's POV:

"Goodness, Marinette must you be so loud?" Adrien asks.

"Sorry, Adrien, but you did sleep in until 9 am," She tells him.

"Marinette, I did not mean to ignore you for so long," Adrien whines.

Adrien gets up, goes to the bathroom, gets ready for the day, and comes out. He is glad today is the day he gets to spend with his girlfriend.  It is not as if he has spent much time with her lately.

                Narrator's  POV:

Adrien and Marinette enjoy a late breakfast of omelets and apple juice.  Then, they get on the elevator with their beach bags.  They get off on the bottom floor, and head to the beach.

Once there, Adrien finds a nice shady area to place the beach towels and bags.

          Adrien's POV:
Adrien's jaw drops as Marinette removes the cover-up top to show her cute swimsuit underneath it. He thinks wow she is so beautiful.

"Whoa, Marinette, darling you look so lovely in that swimwear," Adrien remarks.

        Marinette's POV:

Marinette blushes at his remark since this whole thing is new to her. She sits down on her towel, then it is her turn to blush as he removes his t-shirt.  She thinks wow, it is the second time I have seen him like this, yet it still makes me feel so blessed.

She puts on some sunscreen, and then hands Adrien the bottle so he can help her apply it to her back.  She stands up removes her sandals and runs towards the ocean.

      Adrien's POV:
Adrien watches her walk away with a smirk.  He pumps up the beach ball with the bump. Then, he tosses the ball in her direction.

"Come on Mari, let us play!" Adrien says.

         "Sure, okay, Adrien," Marinette responds.

Adrien and Marinette have a great time tossing the beach ball back and forth. Then, they swim in the ocean together.  After they dry off Adrien takes her hand and helps her look for seashells.  He can tell when she needs a break since she yawns. Without another word, he carries her back to the shaded area and sits her down.

"Time to relax, Mari," Adrien remarks. He hands her a book and gets out his as well.

Adrien snaps a photo as she falls asleep while reading, thinking about how much he loves her. He lets her rest her head on his shoulder. Soon, he drifts off as well.
