"Hiram Lodge just asked my dad to run for mayor." Archie said to his girlfriend, who was laying on his bed while he paced around the room.
"What?" The brunette girl said, raising up and propping herself on her elbows.
"There's gonna be a special election to replace Josie's mom. Hiram wants my dad to run."
"Why?"
"Who freaking knows? They just want some dog on a leash, probably—" Archie said but was caught off by his phone ringing. "It's Veronica.." he said with furrowed eyebrows before answering.
"Hey, so I was doing some research and apparently, your dad needs 1,200 signatures before he can even run for mayor." Veronica said from the other end of the line.
"Uh huh?"
"So I was thinking, if you're not doing anything, maybe we can collect them together..?"
"You know what, I actually have something I have to do. Maybe some other time."
"Wait, Archie—" Veronica said before the red head hung up.
"That sounded like she wanted to be alone with you." Jade spoke.
"Oh, is Jade Jones jealous?"
"I don't know, should I be?" She said raising her eyebrow.
"No, you shouldn't be." Archie put his hand on her hips. "I love you, baby."
"I love you too."

"Hey, kiddos, check this out." Fred Andrews said as the couple walked into the kitchen. The two walked over to what he had spread out on the table. "When I applied to college to be an urban planner.. this is before Grandpa Arty got sick, this was a presentation that I made for some program I never got into. Riverdale 2020, small town with a big future. Sounds corny, huh?"
"No, dad." Archie said with a smile.
"This is awesome, Mr. Andrews." Jade said.
"You can call me Fred, you know."
Then their was a knock at the door before it opened, Veronica Lodge's voice being heard, "Hello? Archie? Mr. Andrews?" She then walked over and saw them in the kitchen, "Oh, goody. You're both here." The girl sat her bag and book she had. "So I fully realize I'm putting the cart before the horse, but I was spitballing some design ideas and I think I may have come up with a few potential campaign logos." She flipped through the book, showing the pictures she created.
"I.. Veronica, those are terrific, I gotta say, but oh.." he pointed to one of the logos, "Now, that one, that's my favorite." Fred said.
"Mine too." Veronica said. "Great, So I'll have some buttons and t-shirts printed asap."

"Why are you pushing this on him?" Archie asked as the three teenagers now stood on the front porch.
"I'm not. I just think your dad would make a great mayor." Veronica crossed her arms, "Why are you resisting this so much?"
"Because, Veronica, my dad's not cut out for what your parents want."
"Which is what, in your mind?"
"A dog on a leash, who does what it's told." Archie said, "And if not, they'll push him out like they did Mayor McCoy."
"Archie, Mayor McCoy had an affair with Sheriff Keller. That's why she stepped down" Veronica said, "My parents had nothing to do with it, which I would swear to you on the Bible."
"I feel like your steering my dad, like you tried to steer me, and it's not cool." Archie said, "So ease off him."
