"If what happened to Midge taught us anything, it's that no one is safe, anywhere.." Archie said as the bulldogs stood in the boys locker room. "This town needs us, it needs the dark circle. And this time, we'll have the new Sheriff's support. No offense, Kev."
"None taken. I'm here to catch the guy who cost my dad his job."
"Guys, I.. gotta tell you something.." Moose spoke up. "The night of the show, midge and I got into a fight backstage 'cause she admitted.. she was seeing someone else behind my back."
"Who?"
"Who?"
"She let it slip that it was a serpent."
"What?" Reggie said then kicked the bench that was in the middle of the room. "I knew it, I knew it, the second they set foot in this school."
"Moose, why didn't you say anything to us? Or my dad?" Kevin asked.
"I didn't want to look like the jealous boyfriend and have people think that I.." Moose trailed off.
"We should talk to the new Sheriff—"Archie started.
"Screw that!" Reggie said, "Some serpent scumbag was doing Midge. We just gotta figure out which one."

The serpents sat in the science room having another Swords and Serpents meeting. Jughead stood in the front of the room talking while Jade sat behind him in the teacher's chair as usual, "War baby called us from Shankshaw. Our old adversaries, the ghoulies, have been released."
"Word on the street is that they want serpent blood." Jade added, "They're gunning for a re-match. They want war."
The door slammed open, revealing Reggie Mantle and a few of the bulldogs and other boys.
"Which one of you reptiles was screaming Midge Klump?" Reggie said.
"What the hell is going on? This is a private meeting." Jughead said as Jade quickly got up.
"I'm guessing it was you, Sweet Pea." Reggie accused as the taller boy pushed past Jade.
"Reggie, that's enough." Archie tried to calm the fuming boy.
"You ass, I didn't even know Midge." Sweet Pea said, "But Yeah, I get why she wouldn't want fleas from you mangy Bulldogs."
Reggie went after Sweet Pea, and Sweet Pea went after Reggie. Jade quickly threw herself in front of the two boys, Jughead and Archie soon following. They both yelled things at their crew until they calmed down.

"This is some pretty forceful branding, Archie." Jade said to the ginger, gesturing to the flyer in her hand, as they stood in one of the empty classrooms.
"Reggie made those, not me."
"You said you weren't going to start it again.."
"I know, I'm sorry.. baby, it wasn't my idea.." Archie said, even though it was his idea.
"Okay." She said with a sigh, "But, I need your dark circle to just lay off my serpents. Even though they were technically right about something.."
"What do you mean?"
"One of them was canoodling with Midge." She said, "But, he didn't kill her.. and I'm not going to give you his name so please don't ask.. but rest assured, none of my crew is a middle aged white guy with green eyes. And that's who you're still looking for, right?"
"Yeah.." Archie said, "I'll tell Reggie to lay off."
"Thank you." She said. Archie's eyes gazed to the door, to make sure no one could see through the glass before pecking the girl's lips.
