Natsu's POV

Day two. Only two more days until my job is done. Honestly I don't know why Lia was to have a babysitter she seems plenty capable to take take of herself but it's whatever. She must be lovely being home alone for four days.

I can't stop thinking about seeing Lucy.. yesterday I was too scared.. all I'm doing is worrying her. God I'm horrible.

Time skip to the third day

(Basically Lia and Natsu just hung around the house all day. I didn't care much to write pointless stuff.)

Lucy's POV

I woke up. Happy woke me up asking to go on a job

"I don't wanna go happy.." I said

"Why?" He said

"It doesn't feel right going on a mission without him. He's part of Team Natsu too.." I said sighing hoping he would return. My feelings for him only increased since he's been gone. I ache for him to be around me. Mira won't say shit and everyone is hiding something from me. It hurts.. where are you Natsu.. please be safe..

I get up and shower. Letting happy eat my fish in the fridge from the other days trip.

"Hey Lucy I get your sad but please don't sulk." Gray said from the other side of my bathroom door

"Did happy let you in?"

"Yeah he said you looked upset. You really miss that flamebrain huh?" He said

"Yeah.. how can I not. It's been three days since I've seen him. I miss waking up to him in my bed. I miss your stupid fights. I miss him.. where the hell is he gray.. and don't tell me you don't know!" I said screaming in frustration

"I don't know where he is but I know what happened."

"Tell me.."

"Don't tell Lis I told you.. he left to go on a mission right after finishing one. Apparently he's taking care of the girl Lia you met the other day."

"Lia?"

So that's it... he was in the guild hall avoiding me. How could I not see it coming. Of course he wouldn't want to see you Lucy.. you mean jack shit to him..

"Lucy you ok??" Gray said after a few seconds of silence

"Yeah. I'm ok.." I said holding back my tears. Why would Natsu go so far to make people not tell me? Why would he avoid me.? Who really is this Lia girl?

"I'm gonna go. I brought you some fruit, it's on your table by the way.."

"Bye.."

Damn it what the hell is wrong with me..

Natsu... tell me its wrong. Come home and tell me please..

Natsu's POV

In the morning I can leave.. and I can be back with Lucy.

"Natsu? Can we go shopping today?" Lia said from the kitchen

"Sure. Give me a minute to get ready." I said. I tried to fix my hair but just ended up walking downstairs. "Let's go"

"Ok" she said smiling

Time skip to the shops

I was walking when I unconsciously followed a smell, leading Lia to follow behind me

"Hey Natsu what's wrong?"

I realized what the smell was a saw her. She was with Gray, laughing and smiling. He must have noticed me because his face turned pale(r). Gesturing to me that now was not the time. She turned around and saw me.

"N- Natsu?" She had tears in her eyes and she ran away.

"What the hell man?!" Gray said

"What do you mean? I'm doing my damn job?"

"Yeah well Lucy is upset at you for leaving! Now really wasn't the time to make your presence known." Gray said

"Natsu didn't know ok? Stop yelling at him." Lia said breaking us up

"Natsu let's just go back to my house.. we need to get you ready to leave tomorrow." She grabbed my wrist and pulled me away.

We were walking when she said "You gotta fix this before it ruins your friendship."

"I gotta admit I messed up leaving but I can't just go back."

"You could have told her.. when you went back to the guild. She saw me today and the other day."

"It's not like Lucy loves me anyways.. it pointless." I said

"You don't know what's going on in her heart. You have to be a man and tell her how you feel. If you really love her you'd do what's best for you two." She said letting go and walking back

Lucy's POV

"Gray.. are they gone." I said walking back to the last area I saw Gray and them

"Yeah.. that Lia girl dragged me and Natsu apart.." he said

I wonder what their relationship is.. I wonder if.. Natsu replaced me. He didn't even chase after me.

"Lucy I know how you feel but give it time. You can't go assuming stuff until he tells you." He said sighing

"Thanks Gray.. I'm going home." I said feeling slightly better

"Let me walk you home.." he said

"No I'm ok I'll just summon Loke. Plus I don't want Juvia to get the wrong idea.." I said

"Ok." And we split our ways.

"You called?" Loke said showing up next to me

"Well I was gonna.. I wanted you to walk me home.." I said

"Where's Natsu?" He said surprised for once he wasn't around

"Who knows?"

"Well if anyone should know its you." Loke said

"Well I don't. Leave it to him to leave our town for god knows how long. It's not even the first time. He left me for a while damn year. Who's to say he won't do it again.." I looked down at my feet and tears fell. "I'm tired of trying Loke!"

"..."

"I try to bottle up these feelings and I try to pretend I'm ok. Like I'm not in love with him but it's all useless!"

"Well Lucy.. tell him how you feel when he does come back. If he doesn't accept them then good. You deserve someone better who won't just leave you." He said hugging me

The rain.. it started to pour. I cried into his arms for who knows how long..

"Let's take you home Lucy ok..?" He said picking me up. "You'll catch a cold.."

"Thanks.."
