Time skip to the next day

Lucy's POV

"Mira help. Her fever is getting worse" Loke said pretty loud waking me up.

"No Lucy lay back down.. Loke go get Wendy.." Mira said putting a towel over my head

"What happened?" I said

"You were it in the rain too long yesterday and Loke couldn't bring your temperature down.. you'll be ok though don't worry." She said in a soothing voice

"Is Natsu back yet?" I said

"No.. not since I last checked." She said "I'm sorry we didn't tell you.."

"It's ok.. you were just keeping your word to him."

Natsu's POV

"Well Lia this is goodbye. Make sure to stop by the hall anytime you want!" I said

"Here's your reward my mom gave you alittle extra too. Remember, please do it Natsu" she said handing me the money

"I will. If you promise to visit me."

"It's a deal."

I waved by to her but she stopped me

"I'll have my driver drop you off." She placed a spell on me and I got in.

"Bye Natsu/Lia"

I stared out the window. My life.. it had changed so much in just a few days.. I really hope I don't mess this up with Lucy.

I got out of the car when we got to our destination and entered the hall. Wendy ran out along with Loke.

"Guys what's wrong?" I said stopping Wendy

"Lucy is sick, I gotta go" She said before running off

Sick? I sprinted to her house.

"Natsu?" Mira said opening the door, "now isnt a good time..-"

"Just let me in please. I messed up." I said through my huffs of air. Mira looked back and reluctantly opened the door for me.

I ran to Lucy and wrapped my arms around her body.

"Natsu.. is that you?" She said opening her eyes

"Yeah.. I'm back." I said giving her a sad smile

"..." she fell asleep again..

"Mira I did all I could. She should be ok tomorrow." Wendy said

"Thank you Wendy.."

"I'm such an idiot for letting her be in the rain.." Loke said under his breathe

I grabbed her small hand. Holding it gently in my hand. I didn't care that they were still in the room. I let go and crawled into her bed. Maybe if I'm here she'll yell at me like she always does.  And we'll go to the guild and go on a job together.. she'll let me lay my head down on her lap and she'll play with my hair.. I wonder how mad she is..

"Natsu what are you doing?" Loke said

"Sleeping. What does it look like." I said in a duh tone

"Oh my!" Mira said laughing to herself

"I'm gonna go check on Carla.." Wendy said turning red and walking out

Loke just disappeared back into the Celestial World..

"Natsu you finally realized it?" Mira said

"I did.. guess I'm not a dense idiot anymore!" I said giving her a child like grin

"I wish you luck, bye" she said waving at me and closing the door behind her.

"I'm gonna need more than luck.." I said looking down at Lucy's face.

I laid down next to her and wrapped my arms around her slender waist.

Two hours later

Lucy's POV

Why am I so warm? My fever doesn't seem to back. I look down and saw an arm around me. Loke? No I'd just slap him. I turn and saw a sleeping Natsu..

he's back..

I try to move his arm so I can get up but I just seemed to wake him up.

"Lucy.." he said

"What the hell are you doing Natsu?" I said almost crying and angry

"Look.. I'm sorry for leaving.. I'm sorry for leaving without telling you again." He said forming tears in his eyes

"Natsu.." my voice softened

"I can't- well I can but.. it's best I don't tell you right now." He said looking away from me

"Then why are you here if it's not the time?" I said

"I just missed you!" He said looking back today me and smiling

My face turned slightly red and I smiled back at him, "I missed you too.."

"I'm going back to sleep again. Babysitting someone was hard work." He complained

"Babysitting?" I said

"Yeah. The person I was with at the shops. You two know each other, Lia.." he said

"How was she like?" I asked

"She's nice, I think she and Wendy would get along.. I was gonna take another job as soon as I got done but let's just say she gave me some advice and I decided on staying here"

I wonder what he means by that..

"I'm gonna go back to sleep now too.." I said

"You're not kicking me out of the bed?" Natsu said surprised

"Usually I would. But I don't have any energy in me to kick you.." I said sighing dramatically

"Sounds like you got a lot of energy." He said under his breathe

I felt a vein my head. I remembered all the old times together. Him sneaking into my room and taking over my bed and I had to drag him off.. "I'll be ready to strike once I'm at full charge.." I said snuggling back into my sheets

He lightly pressed our bodies together. Wrapping his arm on me securing me into a snuggle position.
