{Kitty's POV}
I looked at Fire. This was her last time seeing Vulcan. He was being put down due to stomach worms. "Is there anything, anything we can do??" Fire pleaded. The vet shook his head. "I'm sorry, Skylar, but it has to be done."
Fire let a tear escape her eye. It hurt me enough to see her so upset, but it hurt me even more that there was nothing we could do about putting down Vulcan.
"I'll put him down, you may leave and I'll wrap him up and dispose of the body, or you may, if you'd like," said the vet. "No! I want to stay," said Fire. "I'll stay, too," said Moose. I had so much sympathy for her. I've never seen her this sad before.
"Me and Matt will sit out in the waiting room, okay?" I said, and grabbed Matt's arm after Fire gave us the 'OK'. We went into the waiting room and sat down, talking.
"Do you think she'll get over this?" Matt asked. "I don't know. I know Fire, and she's stubborn, so probably not," I replied. "Oh..." said Matt.
10 minutes later, Fire came out, calmed down, but not calm enough to be strong. Moose had an arm around her. Fire was carrying a pet carrier, but all that was in there was a lump under a white sheet. Vulcan was in there.
"Let's go bury him," said Matt quietly and we walked out, going to the car. Me and Fire let our wings out, it was more comfortable, anyways.
As we got to the TM house, me and Fire flew out of the car. I had to change into a wolf to dig the hole.
"That's big enough, Kitty," said Matt. I change back and let Fire say her last words to Vulcan. "I love you Vulcan, I'll see you soon," she sobbed, and put him in the hole. I put the dirt back over the hole and Fire flew into the house.
"You'll be okay, Fire," said Moose as he went in the house and comforted her. "You're my flame of fire."
