"Using gangs and ninja." So this man really is bad. But why Tazuna?

"It was one year ago Gato set his sight on the land of waves. He came to our land and used his power to take complete control. Anyone who tried to stand in his way simply disappeared. There's only one thing that stands in his way. The bridge. If it connects the land to the main land it will ruin his control."

"So that's it. Since you're building this bridge you're standing in that gangsters way." Sakura said like it wasn't already obvious enough. "That means those guys we fought in the forest were working for Gato." Sasuke said. "I don't understand if you knew he was dangerous. If you knew he sent ninja after you why didn't you tell us?" Kakashi asked the bridge builder.

"Because he land of waves is a small and poverished nation. Even the nobles have little. The people building the bridge can't pay for an a or b ranked mission. It's too expensive. If you end this mission when you drop me ashore there will be no bridge. They'll assassinate me before I reach home. But don't worry about that. My grandson will cry though. He'll cry I want my granddad I want my granddad. And my daughter will denounce and the leave ninjas. Condemning them for abandoning her father. Oh well it's not your fault." Ugh this guy we should've just let him die to those ninja in the woods. He's worse than Naruto when he wants ramen.

"Well I guess we have no other choice. We have to keep guarding you." "Oh I'm very grateful." At those fake old man words I tuned out.

Time skip

As we climbed on shore Tazuna told us, quite rudely, to take him home. In one piece. He's really dumb to have called this a low rank mission the next ninja we face aren't going to be so easy. Even though they couldn't afford it they should have tried because now it may cost them their lives.

While walking through the forest I stayed behind the rest of the squad. Sasuke and Naruto passed each other a few times before Naruto ran ahead of him. He stopped then threw a kunai at a random bush. They all then started to fight since Naruto didn't know what he was doing. I rolled my eyes and kept walking as far as Kakashi would let me. He knows I would get in trouble out of responsible peoples sight.

As it turns out he almost killed a rabbit. But the rabbit was different. It's fur was the wrong color for this season. It was raised by someone and then most likely set free or ran away. I saw Kakashi look up into the trees and followed where he was looking.

There I saw a man all I could see was his face but not really. It was covered kind of like Kakashis is.

I watched as the man jumped from the trees. He threw a sword at the old man. He dodged but just barely. The ninja then landed on his sword which had caught in a tree. "Well well if it isn't Zabuza Momochi. Rouge ninja from the village hidden in the mist." Rouge ninja? He must be worse than I thought and really strong.

Naruto ran trying to attack Zabuza fortunately before he could Kakashi stopped him telling him he was in the way. Telling Naruto that the rouge ninja was really powerful.

I gasped as Kakashi lifted his eye patch. Under it was what I assumed was a sharingan. Zabuza already knew this information and taunted Kakashi with it. "Now quick manji formation and stay out of this fight. I taught you teamwork now it's time to use it."

But of course before the good fighting could happen Naruto had to ask questions. Fortunately Sasuke told him what a sharingan was. Suddenly a fog rolled in. Then more talking and a threat to the bridge builder. That's when we listened to Kakashi and got in formation.

Then in the blink of an eye Zabuza was standing in the water and had started building up chakra. "Ninja art hidden mist jutsu!" I'm not sure how and I don't think I ever will know but I saw his jutsu. And not just saw I felt like I could copy it. I made eye contact with Naruto and let out a blood curdling scream. I looked down at my palms where the pain resonated and saw two black spirals forming on my hands. I stumbled forward and tripped. As I hit the ground all I saw was black and heard the yell of my name by three people.

Kakashi pov
I was debating on using my sharingan to fight Zabuza. Well maybe this is one time I should. I have to protect the children. With a sigh I pulled up my headband and revealed my sharingan.

I heard a gasp from Naruto and Sakura. They must not know what a sharingan is. I figured that much. Y/N and Sasuke must already know. Sasuke must since it originates in his clan. Y/N I'm not really sure how she knows. And of course Zabuza knew this as well.

After explaining what a sharingan was I now have to fight Zabuza. I watched suspiciously as a fog rolled in.

He threatened the bridge builder. He's only here to kill him for Gato I believe. Finally the kids got in formation at that threat. Then Zabuza lept to the water and built up chakra. "Ninja art hidden mist jutsu!" I could barely see now I could only really see the students.

I saw Y/N eyes widen. She turned and made eye contact with Naruto. She let out a blood curdling scream which made even me flinch. She looked down at her hands and I did the same. There black spirals formed on each hand.
