"Magnus." Luka's head turned to the door at the familiar voice. Clary entered the room, the little girl from earlier walking beside her. Luka walked over, watched the young warlock hug his brother. When the girl took a step back and looked at the pale downworlder, she smiled. Luka opened his arms, the girl taking his invitation. She wrapped her small arms around the older boys waist. "Thank you so much for protecting me Luka." The older let out a small chuckle before placing a hand on the girls head, "No problem kid." Magnus smiled as he watched his brother interact with the child. Luka may not be great with most people, but he defiantly had a way with children.

Magnus placed a hand on the girls shoulder, "Go join the others, my dear. This is no place for a little girl. Go." The child sent a final smile to Luka before walking further into the room. The ravenette looked at Clary, who seemed confused, "You protected her?" Luka nodded, "The black wolf. That was me." Clary nodded. Luka could still tell she was a little confused but that she wasn't going to question it at the moment. Magnus turned to Clary as the three began to walk into the room. Luka's arm over Clary's shoulders.

What they failed to notice or at least ignored was the hazel eyes that watched them, slightly narrowed. They didn't notice the smirk of a certain voiceless werewolf as he looked at the boy who was staring at the red haired shadowhunter, amused by the fliker of faint jelousy in his eyes. The wolf turned to Emma, quickly signing "I think the Shadowhunter has a thing for Luka." The blonde looked at the shadowhunter with a smirk, "Well this will be interesting." She whispered back.

"I heard what you did for Zoe." Magnus said, looking up to his brother, "And for Luka. You risked your life without hesitation to save two young warlocks" Clary turned to Magnus, breaking free of Luka, and after sending the young downworlder another confused look, spoke, "She was just a girl and she was in trouble, so was Luka. I had no choice." Luka smiled a little, placing a hand on Clary's arm, "You always have a choice Red, you are quite special." Magnus nodded, "You're not like the others, Clary Fairchild. Most shadowhunters protect downworlders out of sense of duty," Luka scoffed at his brothers words, "Not always." He mumbled. Magnus sent him a sad look before continuing, "But you saved young Zoe because of what was inside your heart. You're more like your mother than you will ever know." Luka nodded, Jocelyn had helped save him, not because of the clave, no they would have preferred he die, nor did she do out of duty. Jocelyn Fairchild save Luka, because she saw a scarred kid with no place to go and no family who would accept him.

Luka brushed the memory aside. It had happened, it was in the past, now it was his turn to save Jocelyn. He would do whatever he could to pay back the debt that he owed the woman. "Magnus, please..." Clary spoke again, looking between the older warlock and his brother, "You can't hide from this battle. Look, Valentine, he found you once,he will find you again. We need to work together. Help me." Luka placed a hand on his older brother's shoulder and his eyes told Magnus everything he needed to know. With a sigh the warlock turned back to Clary, "I can summon the demon, but you must make the demand." There was a pause as Clary swallowed hard. "Now, I warn you... retrieving your memories will not be easy."

The young redhead's eyes showed determination, "I will do what I have to do." Magnus glanced at his brother, "All right, but we're not safe here. The lair's location has been compromised. Luka, would you be so kind." Magnus held out a hand to the young downworlder. Luka grabbed, "Of coarse." Magnus turned back to the others in the room, "Hold tight, everyone, we're about to move." The brother both began to use their magic, sliver, black and blue all mixing together as a pulse of magic went through the building, then the world turned white. Before they knew it, they were in different location. Magnus sighed deeply, "Ah, much better."

When the older warlock turned around, Luka rolled his eyes, walking over to his pack as they stood in the corner.  The pale man held up a hand, counting down from three, "Ugh, it's inevitable. After each move, I get the itch to redecorate. Normally, I love a dirty lair, but this one is just sloppy." Magnus rest his foot on the table, glance at Alec, then Luka. The younger Bane sighs, "Just don't touch my room. It will take me forever to find anything if you do." Magnus laughed a little, before turning to Isabelle, "I believe in payment for services rendered. Thank you for defending the warlocks." As Magnus pulled out the necklace the shadow hunters had given him early, Luka spoke up, his pack behind him, "And my pack of misfits, here." He gestured to the group, who, unlike earlier with Alec, all smiled to show their thanks.

"I couldnt'." Isabelle tried to protest, but Magnus wasn't having it. He moved behind her place the necklace around her neck. "Oh, but you could. And you should. The Lightwoods have been wearing this for years." Luka's breath hitched slightly at the mention of the shadowhunter family name. His pack seemed to be the only one's who noticed, as Magnus continued speaking, "Besides, this would look silly on your brother." Isabelle laughed under her breath, before Magnus whispered in her ear. Thanks to his enhanced Luka was able to catch what was being said, "About Alec, is he more of a flower or cologne man?" The older warlock's eyes met Luka's. A faint blush spreading across his cheeks at the sight of his brother smirk. The other werewolves tried to suppress their laughter, which left the others in the room confused. Luka just sighed, you knew that they wouldn't let this go.
