Alec and Luka sat in a small room, they had decided to train for a little and now they were relaxing. Luka sighed as he pulled of his shirt in order to cool down quicker. The downworlder took note of the eyes that wondered his back, the glamour from before still hiding his wounds. Alec looked over each of the many scars that covered Luka. His hazel eyes begin drawn to one in particular. A large scar, almost like a bit mark, that spanned from part way up his neck across his shoulder. Without even thinking, Alec reached out his hand and traced it. Luka tensed at first before letting out a sigh, "Is this...?"

Luka smiled sadly, "The bite that turned me? Yeah. I'm... honestly surprised I survived it." Alec sat beside Luka, as the downworlder continued, "There was so much blood... I should have lived... but I choice to... in order to repent for the pain I caused those I loved." Alec tilted his head to the sighed but Luka shock his head, "Nevermind. Sorry. Please don't worry about it." The pale boy smiled, but to Alec it looked broken. He wanted to get Luka to show him a real, genuine joyful smile. One that didn't show pain, but love. The thought made Alec blushed, he realized he'd been doing that a lot since Luka had come into his life. Luka was the first to stand, quickly throwing his shirt back on now that he didn't feel as hot, "How about we go see what the others are doing?"Alec nodded, thankful for the distraction from his thoughts.

When the two stepped back into the main room, Luka notice an all to familiar woman standing by Jace, Isabelle and Clary. Alec noticed as well, his face imidently become serious, "Mother. Welcom back. We didn't expect you." Alec walked over to the older shadowhunter, "You should be prepared, whether you expect me or not." Alec stood by Jace, his hands behind his back, "I am. We are." Luka scoffed slightly, "I would have preferred to never see you again in your life time." The woman's attention was now on the downworlder. Her eyes going wide as she looked at a face she had never thought she'd see again. "Lukailia... your--" Luka growled, his fists clenched and eyes glowing brighter then anyone had seen them glow before, "That isn't my name. It's Luka Bane. The boy you speak of died because of the Clave. And because of the people he thought were family."

To say the others were confused would be an understatement. Between Luka's aggression and the older Lightwood saying a name three of them had not heard in years, they were all far beyond confused. "Your brother has refused to give up, Lukailia. He hasn't stopped look--" A single glare made the shadowhunter silent, "I told you. That. Is. Not. My. Name. Now why don't you say why your actually here instead of talking to me about a boy who no longer has a life. Maryse." She sighed in agitation turning back to Alec, "We'll talk about this more later then, right now we have a bigger problem. The Seelies have stopped communicating with the Clave and won't explain why. My guess is they're still upset we asked them to send scouts to look for Valentine, but no one in their realm will talk." As Maryse walked behind Luka he laughed bitterly, "I wonder why. I see the Clave hasn't change, still acting as though downworlder lives mean nothing." The venom in his words made the older woman's kind facade begin to slip and she lightly glared back.

"I have Seelie friends." Isabelle reminded. Luka was glad that there were shadowhunters like her and Clary, ones who broke down barriers instead of trying to maintain them. "Yes. I know about your friends." Luka wanted to slash the woman's throat. He hated how a mother could talk to their child like that, especially if that child was as sweet as Isabelle. "Isabelle, we stay separate from the downworld for good reasons." Maryse cast a glance at Luka, who lowered his head, his body tense and shaking in rage. "The wrong move, the wrong word... Do you think there is such a thing as harmless rebellion? Who knows what offends those creatures. Maybe you told him... them... something they shouldn't know. Maybe you trod on one of their ridiculous customs without knowing it." Luka's laugh and furiously dangerous grin caught everyone attention, "You know what would solve that problem Maryse? What would stop you from trending on their 'ridiculous' custom? If you shadowhunters actually put effort in to learning them."

Maryse's glare was strong this time, "You are one to talk. Your involvement with the downworld is what got in this position. It's what turned you in to a... monster." The lightwood siblings, Jace and Clary were all shocked. Luka took a sharp breath, "You're right. I am a monster, but you know what?" Luka statred to walk away, stopping for only a moment beside Maryse, "Shadowhunters like you are what turned me into this. You're all just as bad as Valentine." He growled once more before opening a portal a stepping through. Traveling to the now broken apartment that he had so many found memories and fell to his knees in what use to be the hall. Tears falling faster then he had any chance of stopping them.

While he cried, Alec remained in the inisititute, he had the urge to go and try and find the downworlder, but he didn't. Instead listen to his mother and the conversation happening in front of him. As he tried to focus on what was being said, his mind kept wondering. So many questions swarmed his mind. Why had is mother can Luka, Lukailia, that name he had longed to hear for so many years? Why was Luka so angered by it? And why had his mother's statements seemed, not only aimed at Isabelle, by the downworlder too? Alec wanted the answers, but he wasn't sure how he was going to get them.
