Chapter 6

NEWT POV: 

"No" I said. "You watch every greenie Newt. Besides you are second in command. It's your job" said Alby. "I can't watch Toomy" I said. "Thomas" I corrected. "Why, because he is your boyfriend" asked Gally. "HE IS NOT BECOMING HALF GRIEVER" I snapped. "No one said he will" said Winston. I signed. "Look, I still don't believe Thomas or anyone will like me if they knew I was half griever" I said sadly. "They will. Well some people won't but you have us" said Clint. "And what, the griever might take us back to their planet? It's been five hundred years. Things change" I said. "If that did happen they would turn you human so you can stay" said Frypan. "That's possible" I asked. "Yes, but only if they were born a human" said Alby. I signed. "I'll worry about that later. Let's just go run the maze or something" I said. "Okay, let's make sure everyone is asleep first" said Alby. We left the house of the keepers and snuck over to the sleep area. I helped make sure everyone was asleep. I found Thomas. He laid there like a angel. 

I noticed his blanket was off. I covered him up and kissed his forehead. We found everyone was asleep and started leaving. We walked to the maze. "So, what job will Thomas be stuck with for a month" asked Clint. "Depends on what he does best at but that shank might cause trouble. He is curious" said Alby. "Well, as long as he doesn't do anything stupid and find out we are half griever I don't care what happens to that shank" said Gally. "Ya, but he will stay in his bloody place. I'll make sure of that" I said. 

THOMAS POV: 

"Mmm Newt" I moaned. I was slapped. I bolted up and saw a boy standing by my hammock. "What" I whispered loudly. "Come on" the boy whispered. He started leaving and I followed. I guess I can ask his name. "Ben right" I asked. "Yes, now keep quiet. I found something you should see" said Ben. "What" I asked. "Just stay quiet and follow me. Oh and by the way Newt is half griever" said Ben. I froze as my memories came back. I blinked. "So Newt is one of those aliens" I asked. "Yes, now shut up and walk" said Ben. 

i signed annoyed and we walked in silence. We made it to the maze walls. Ben started climbing the walls. "What are you doing" I asked stopping him. "It's in the maze" said Ben. He turned his back to me and I noticed a whole. I lifted the back of Ben's shirt and froze. I started backing away. "You've been stung" I said. Ben frowned and turned to me. He grabbed me and duck taped my mouth. He climbed the walls and entered the maze. I tried to free myself. I had to kick Ben in a place no one wants to be kicked. Ben dropped me and I ran. "YOU CAN'T GET FAR THOMAS" Ben yelled. I ripped the duct tape off and ran. I looked back as I turned a corner and tripped over some one. I looked and saw Newt. "Greenie what are you doing in here" asked newt. "FIND HIM" a raspy voice yelled. I got up and so did Newt. "I'm sorry" I said and started stammering for what to say. "Calm down shuck face" said Minho. I took a deep breath. "Now tell us what happened" said Alby. I heard a roar behind me. I turned and saw a griever. He started running up to me. "NO" Newt yelled standing in front of me.
