Akiva's pov.
"I'm fine, I just need to sit for a while." After Bilbo woke up again, they were once again carrying on conversation, Bilbo had gone to sit in his chair but Gandalf insisted I stayed to listen. "It is only fitting I suppose," Balin sighed. "We have lost our burglar. It would appear that our quest was doomed from the start."
It was clear Thorin didn't like that, but rather than getting mad, he stood with pride. "We are dwarves, strong, stubborn, and tough. We do not need a burglar." He spoke and even I gave a shout of cheers.
"Let me talk to our hobbit, I'm sure he will reconsider." Gandalf made to leave the room but Thorin stopped him short and whispered so that the others, though they were all talking to each other, could not hear. "I can not promise his safety, nor will I take blame for his death."
Gandalf nodded "understood."
Once Gandalf had left I walked closer to Thorin. "What if someone could, would you allow him to come along without that disgust in your eyes. And don't deny it, I saw it the moment you walked in." I said quietly, my own distrust clear in my voice.
He looked taken back but regained his composure and nodded. "But who would do such a thing." I simply turned and walked to join the two.Reaching the living room, I make it just in time to hear, "can you guarantee I will return?"
Gandalf answered "no, and if you do you will not be the same."Quickly stepping in "but I can" to which they both looked surprised.
"Absolutely not, whether I go or not, your not coming. Your foot is still swollen and strained, no it's one thing to go to Bree but an entirely other matter to go across middle earth." Bilbo rambled, standing up and forbidding me.
"Bilbo, my foot will heal with or without this journey, actually faster with, but if I wait any longer I will no longer have the strength to go. Don't get me wrong, I love it here, but this is my chance to go home, the Shire is too mellow, to calm, it racks my nerves until I can't think straight.I miss my brother, and the little ones I used to watch. I miss the tussle and the hunting trips. I miss the very air that surrounds my home, Bilbo, with or without you I am going. But I really do wish you will come, I promised you I would give you a tour of middle earth one day, remember?"He slowly nodded and sighed. "Fine, I will go, I will sign the contract, but if I don't return home I will haunt you for the rest of your life, literally."
I chuckled. "Let's set up some beds for the company, you can sign it in the morning."
We began gathering blankets and laying them on the floors, and right around the time we got done, a deep voice filled the air with song.Far over the misty mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away, ere break of day
To find our long-forgotten goldThe pines were roaring oooooon the height
The winds were moaning iiiin the night
The fire was red, it flaming spread
The trees like torches blazed with light....
They trailed off and I couldn't help but notice that while they had sung, I myself had started to hum along. It would appear as though I wasn't the only one, Balin looked at me with shock. "You know the song lass?" I nodded. "My kingdom has many wandering souls, all who bring their own songs. I used to sit by the fire place all night listening to the different songs."
A great deal of the dwarves nodded in slight understanding, before Ori spoke up. "Could you sing something? Something we haven't heard before?" And the others looked interested. "Well I suppose." I agreed before I began singing.I close my eyes and I can see
The world that's waiting up for me
That I call my ownThrough the dark, through the door
Through where no one's been before
But it feels like homeThey can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
They can say, they can say I've lost my mind
I don't care, I don't care, so call me crazy
We can live in a world that we design'Cause every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awakeI think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna makeThere's a house we can build
Every room inside is filled
With things from far awayThe special things I compile
Each one there to make you smile
On a rainy dayThey can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
They can say, they can say we've lost our minds
I don't care, I don't care if they call us crazy
Runaway to a world that we designEvery night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awakeI think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna makeHowever big, however small
Let me be part of it all
Share your dreams with me
You may be right, you may be wrong
But say that you'll bring me along
To the world you seeTo the world I close my eyes to see

The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
