Author's Note: I am sooooooo sorry for being absent for so long. Ya know that usually hooplah with school and stuff, filling my schedule with outside of school activities etc. I promise to update more frequently in the future. Sorry for the wait and enjoy this story!
There are three unspoken rules for pro wrestling. One, never let your guard down. Two, always be prepared. Three, know that no matter how prepared your round is, things will always go wrong somehow. (y/n) forgot about the third point. Now he's in a hospital bed with an injured leg during wrestling promotion season, how convenient?
(y/n) sighs loudly as he leans back against the plush, stark white pillows of his hospital bed. The clock on the wall ticking ever so quietly. He rolls over and grabs a book of the bedside table. (y/n) runs his fingers through the pages and reads a few pages, he distracts himself from the boredom which claws at him. After some time, (y/n) tentatively moves his injured leg, seeing if it feels any better.
"Ah!" He yelps and slinks his leg back. "Jesus, that's nasty..." Well that's his answer. His leg is not healed. Not yet.
(y/n) leans back into his bed, exasperated and annoyed.
There is a loud ringing which snaps (y/n) back to reality. He reaches for his phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey, (y/n). I heard about what happened. Are you feeling alright?"
(y/n) smiles at her friend's voice. "Hey, Taynara. What's up?"
The young girl sighs, "Just worried for you, I'm heading over right now."
The phone call ends and (y/n) leans back and waits patiently for Taynara to arrive.

Taynara thanks the hospital from desk staff and goes into the elevator. The quiet buzz of electricity the only sound that was audible as the elevator lifts her to the floor where (y/n) is staying. She walks to the room the staff told her and opens the door.
"Hey, (y/n). How's the leg's healing coming along?"
"Shittily..." (y/n) replies with a sigh.
Taynara sits by the edge of your bed. "Ouch, that's tough. I wonder what the roster would do without you."
"They'll be fine. Storyline writers always find a way around the dips and bumps." (y/n) says with a shrug.
Taynara sighs, "I guess so," she looks at you intently, "I'll miss you for sure though. You're a very cool person, (y/n). You know that?"
(y/n) chuckles, "Of course! I'm the best. (y/n) is the best, (y/n) number one~" (y/n) jokes with a sing-song voice.
"Jesus, you better stop before I slap that grin off your handsome face." Taynara rolls her eyes at (y/n)'s joking.
"Alright, alright, I'll stop." (y/n) glances at Taynara and then at the clock which is still ticking away on the wall, "You should probably head home now. It's getting late, Tay."
Taynara shrugs, "Meh, I don't really care for a bedtime. Besides, I want to spend some time with my friend who is currently crippled."
Taynara then scoots up to (y/n) to his surprise, she pulls out her phone and shows you a replay of her match earlier in the day.
"What do you think?" She smiles, a proud look on her face.
(y/n) smile at this, "Nice grapples," he looks again, "And nice finisher. Damn, you are improving very, very swiftly, aren't you?"
"Sure thing," Taynara grins at (y/n) which causes his heart to melt a little bit. Her smile fills his body with a warmth that he could only describe as admiration.
"It's getting really late now," (y/n) looks at the ticking clock, "You should drive home before it's completely empty out there."
Taynara shrugs, "Whatever, I'm too lazy to drive. I'll just spend the night with you." she smiles and snuggles down into the covers and swiftly falls asleep.
(y/n) smiles and closes his eyes too, knowing a good night sleep is just what he needs for healing.
