just like he said he would, seungmin showed up at y/n's apartment a while later. when she saw him, she instantly thought he looked really good (as always). he wore a deep yellow hoodie and a black bomber jacket paired with ripped jeans and vans.
"let's go~!" seungmin childishly cheered as the lobby door closed behind her.
they chose to walk to the arcade since it only took about ten minutes, and plus, the pre-spring wind was relaxing. on their journey, the two found many things to talk about, ranging from childhood memories to their future plans.
arriving at the lit up building, one of the doors were propped open and they could hear the music that played inside. there was a fair amount of people playing games and winning toys, and y/n looked at seungmin, grinning like a kid. she pulled him into the arcade by his hand and they headed over to the card dispenser.
"i might not be completely broke—"
"i already told you," seungmin interrupted her as he slid his credit card through the machine. "it's on me tonight."
y/n looked up from her small backpack. "i'll pay next time."
"you're already planning?" he giggled, pressing a few buttons on the screen.
a card fell out and into the catcher below. y/n was about to answer but seungmin saved her and linked their arms together.
"what should we play first?"
humming, y/n looked around. "oh! what about that?"
she pointed at a claw machine that had stuffed animals of the line characters. seungmin happily nodded and led her over.
"here, you go first," he said and swiped the play card.
as she concentrated on getting the plushie of brown, seungmin hesitated but eventually rested his chin on her shoulder, watching her moves. y/n's face became a light shade of red, and out of shyness, she missed brown.
"hey! don't do that!" she whined out of embarrassment.
seungmin giggled and swiped the card once more before wrapping his arms around her in a back hug.
"don't worry, i'll win it for you," he grinned.
y/n's eyes focused as seungmin moved the joystick, his head still leaning on her. after pressing the button, the claw reached down and captured the toy. it carried it all the way to the square in the corner before dropping it.
a kid-like gasp escaped y/n's lips while the boy behind her bent down and pushed the flap back to retrieve the prize. he then turned to y/n and handed it to her.
her eyes shone as she took it into her hands. "thank you!"
seungmin couldn't contain himself; he laughed and cooed at her.
"you're adorable," he smiled. "let's go play more games!"
