Dev and Disha were the naughtiest and craziest siblings ever. They had loving parents and most of the relatives were jealous of how they lived so happily. This lasted only for twenty-two years in Dev's life and fourteen years for Disha after the tragedy. It also turned out to be their worst nightmare. Not only did Dev and Disha lose their parents but Dev's little sister was half paralyzed after the incident. He was pursuing his second year in engineering and left it half way to take care of his sister. They were rich but all alone. When Disha was done with her studies at the age of twenty-three, she decided to be home with her brother forever. They loved each other more than anyone else in the world. None of their relatives showed up to their house thinking that Dev and Disha would ask them for help. The siblings didn't care about the others as they had their own family but now it was just the two of them. Disha knew her brother had sacrificed his life for her and insisted that he should complete his engineering. He didn't like the idea and said an excuse that his age was way too much to attend college. He was a bright student. Ever since he left college the Principal would call him up asking him for the same but all he would say was a no. They had the best life ever, loving, fighting, caring, irritating and doing everything for each other yet their lives were incomplete as it lacked something. It was love. Dev and Disha were the first love of each other but they wanted a second love, someone who would be there and love them just as they did for each other. Now Dev was thirty-three and Disha was twenty-five. Dev and Disha had their dream girl and dream boy in their minds about which the two discussed most of the time. Dev's favorite spot to chat was always to sit on the little space near the window and Disha would be on her wheelchair near to him. They were open to each other and shared everything. Their craziness was never gone and what they hated the most was to be mistaken as lovers where ever they went.
They were at their favorite coffee shop and everyone there knew them as they were regular customers of the shop. They were having their usual coffee when an old lady who was watching them for a while decided to talk. She went nearby, "Excuse me dears. I see you both here most of the days and every time I wanted to talk but couldn't. It feels so lovely to see a young man like you take care of a young woman like her". "Thank you aunty", they both replied. "How sweet of you, I pray your kids will be as loving as you are". "Our kids?" asked Dev. "Yes dear, what a loving father and mother you'll both be to them". They knew the old lady misunderstood them but Disha decided to play along, "thank you for your kind words aunty. I hope everything's good with your family as well. Take care". "Sure dear, both of you take care too", said the lady and left the coffee shop. "She was very sweet". "But I don't understand why people think we are a couple". "Relax my darling bhaiyya. She doesn't know us. It's okay". "It's not okay, don't you feel embarrassed?" "Of course but sounds funny to me". "God please give us someone to love", said Dev looking above. Just then, he caught Disha staring at a tall and handsome man. He was serving cakes to a table. Dev waved his hand in front of her face but she continued staring at him. He never saw her like that before, being in her own world. "Disha...Disha!", he patted on her shoulder and she came back to her senses. "What are you looking at?" "I think I'm in love". "What, so fast?" "Its love at first sight. Look at him, darling". "I knew it, you wanna talk to him?" "I'd love to", "hold on," he said and called him to their table. "Excuse me..." he called a little louder and the young man looked at Dev. "Just a minute Sir", the man replied. Disha didn't expect her brother to do that. "What are you doing? Why are you calling him here?" "You don't wanna talk to him?" "I was joking", she said. "Too late, he's here". The young man came and stood between Dev and Disha. She was blushing but at the same time didn't know what to do. Dev read the name on his shirt, "Arjun" "Yes Sir, how may I help you? Is there something you would like to have?" "Can I have some more coffee please?" "Sure Sir and ma'am would you like something?" asked Arjun. She could barely look into his eyes and Dev was controlling his laughter. "Um...Arjun" "Yes ma'am" "I'll have one chocolate muffin and some coffee for my brother". "This is your brother?" "Yes" "So sweet, I heard them say that both of you are our regular customers. That's really nice. Well, today the coffees and muffins are on me". "That's sweet but we'll pay", said Dev. "No Sir, I'll be happy". "Not, Sir, you can call me Dev and my sister Disha". "Alright, Dev, I'll be back," said Arjun and walked away.
Dev also liked him. "Disha, this guy's perfect for you. I'm sure he'll take care of you and stop blushing". "I'm not" "Your face is red like a tomato". "Really, that's because you called him here, thank you". "I knew you wanted to talk". They both understood each other so well. "Disha is in love, finally but look at me". "There's a time for everything to happen", said Disha. Arjun came with some coffee and a chocolate muffin and kept those on the table. "Is there anything else that you need?" he asked. "You..." said Disha. He looked at her. Dev also gave her the "what are you doing?" look. "I mean...you work here or is there something else that you do?" she asked. "Oh!...yea, this is my part-time job. I'm actually a writer, I published a book three years ago and now I'm struggling to write my next", said Arjun. "Arjun Singh?" asked Dev "Yes" "You're the writer of "A day in Shimla?" added Disha. "Yes, that's me". "Oh my God, we love you Arjun. That book is one of our favorites". "Thank you, Dev, thanks Disha", he was so happy that they recognized him. "Can we take a picture with you after your work?" asked Dev "Anyway my duty is done. I'll change and come in five minutes", he said and went to change as his shift was done. "He's the Arjun Singh. Wow, Disha, remember you telling me how awesome it would be if you could marry him?" "Exactly, I hope it'll be true. What would I do without you darling? You're my lucky charm. I love you". "I love you too baby," said Dev. After a few minutes, Arjun joined them.
They went outside the shop and clicked photos. Now Dev and Disha had made a new friend while Arjun made two new friends. Arjun liked them too. "I had a great day. Thanks to both of you" he said. "We should say thank you Arjun. It was our lucky day", added Dev. "I"m gonna post this on Instagram and can I tag you?" she asked. "Sure Disha", he smiled at her. "Do come home someday," said Dev. "Sure I will see y'all then," Arjun said and left home. "He's such a sweetheart but he's our friend and let him be our friend. I'm pretty sure he has someone in his life". "Disha you're not doing this for me, are you?" "No bhaiyya, we'll find our people at the right time. Let's go home for now". "Okay, let's go," said Dev and they went home after a good day.
