Arjun woke up and kept his arm on the other side of the bed but he couldn't feel anything but the pillow. He opened his eyes but didn't see Kiara there nor was she in the room. He looked at the clock. It was 8 in the morning. Arjun brushed his teeth and had a bath in the hot shower like he always starts his day and opened the bedroom door. The aroma from the kitchen reached him, making him more hungry. "Ma...what's for breakfast?" asked Arjun and sat down at the table. Shanti kept the plates and dishes on the table and served him. To his surprise he saw Kiara walk out of the kitchen to join him and Shanti. He couldn't believe his eyes. "Ma...can you tell me what's going on?" he couldn't take his eyes off his pretty wife. "Don't look so surprised. She woke up at 7 am and made your favorite dishes and coffee of course. Taste it, I'm pretty sure you'll love it". His mother was waiting to see his reaction. So was Kiara, smiling at him. He had some. "Kiara..." "Arjun?" "Did you really make this?" "Yes, why?" "I can't make a difference between your food and ma's food. It taste's the same. I love it. Ma now you can take rest. She'll cook for me everyday". He smiled back at Kiara. She was in cloud nine after getting such a great compliment from her husband. Shanti was extremely happy to have them both together. Meanwhile, the only person who was lonely and sad was Dia. She was all alone in her big house without anyone to talk to. She didn't wanna call Dev because she knew he would be with Disha. Then she thought about Karan bhaiyya and suddenly had an idea. She called him up on the phone. "Hello bhaiyya. Its Dia". "Hello beta, how're you?" "I'm good. Thank you. I wanted to know if you could come home now? Only if you're not busy". "Why not...just send my the address and I'll be there in a while, okay?" "Okay. Thank you bhaiyya, bye". "Bye" he replied.
She send him the house address and waited. After thirty minutes, he was home. She showed him around the house first. Karan was sad that she lived in the huge house all by herself. Then they sat down to talk over a coffee. "Tell me beta, why did you want me to come home?" he asked. "Bhaiyya...I was thinking about something and you're the one to make a decision about this so I called you here. I didn't know what else to do". "Is this about Dev?" "Yes..." "Hmm...I thought so". Karan knew she didn't have anything else to talk about than him. He waited to know what it was about. Then she said, "I was wondering...it would be good to have Disha's and Dev's wedding together". "That's actually great beta", said Karan with a smile and then realized she was talking about herself. "Oh...haha...I'm okay with this. Why don't you talk to Dev and tell me his decision? If its fine, I can talk to Kabir". She was super excited and hugged Karan right away and he did the same. "Thank you so much bhaiyya!!! I love you!!!" "Love you too beta" he said. "I'll let you know as soon as possible. In fact right now". "Take your time and give him some time too because he must not have thought about this". "I understand. Okay bhaiyya". "Fine then, I'll leave for now. If there's anything you need, let me know beta". "I will bhaiyya". They hugged again and he left the house. Dia went back and sat on the couch. She opened her phone and swiped the photos of her and Dev through the gallery. There were plenty of photos. She stopped on a close up photo of his and zoomed through his face, staring at it. She couldn't wait to be his.
Arjun was reading a book sitting on the couch while Kiara was lying down on his lap, holding his palm with hers. Shanti had gone to meet an old friend of hers from college and said she'd be back the next afternoon on purpose so the two love birds in her house could be together. "Arjun.." "Hmm" he said without taking his eyes from the book. He was on the last paragraph of the book. He completed it and kept it beside him and looked at her. "Why are you not writing?" "Why would I write?" he asked back. "You're a writer. What about the story you were writing?" "That is with my editor now". She was startled. "So you completed it?" "Ha baba" he smiled at her. "I wanted it to be a surprise for you. Now you know about it anyway". "Of course I'm surprised Arjun! This is unbelievable. You are god gifted!" she got up from his lap and kissed him. "Don't fall off the couch" he laughed. She sat, leaning her head on his shoulder, holding his hands. "I'm so lucky to have you". "Kiara, you're filmy". "Maybe because I love romantic movies". "God you do. Pretty sure you've watched all of them, including the old ones too". Arjun knew his wife more than anyone else knew her. "You've no idea Arjun, when you were not with me, I completed writing my diary and got a new one". "No way Kiara. Did you?" he couldn't believe it. "I had so many things to talk to you but all I could do was write it down". "Well, you are a writer too. I write books, you write diaries". She heard that and laughed out. She didn't wanna let go. There was a pause from her side. "Arjun...we had a good time yesterday night right?" she asked. "Did we...no..." he replied. She looked at his face in disappointment and began hitting him taking the cushion from her side. "Kiara...I was joking baba...stop..." he was having fun with her.
Dev and Disha was playing chess as they were so bored in the house. It was the fifth match and Disha always lost to her brother. There wasn't a change for the past years. "Check-mate" said Dev and at the exact moment his phone rang. It was Dia. Dev looked at Disha, "its your bhabi". She smiled at him and he picked up. For around three minute he didn't say a word and ended the call with a "yes". Disha was wondering what had happened because this was the first time he didn't talk anything to the one he loved. "Bhaiyya, is everything alright?" she asked. He was still lost. Disha patted him on the shoulder and he came back to his senses. "bhaiyya...what happened?" He smiled suddenly and kissed her on the cheek. "She proposed to me!!!" he screamed and hugged his sister. She was so happy for her brother. "My darling bhaiyya...congratulations". This was the moment the two had been waiting for in their life.
