Kiara, the little sister of her big brother Karan was a sweet girl. Like the other girls, she too had a man of her dreams. Though Karan asked her about her wedding plans, she always said she wasn't ready. She had the habit of writing her diary and one day Karan read it. He was astounded to know how Kiara wanted the man of her dreams to be. It said...
Dear Diary,
Read this carefully. Don't ask me questions later.
Today, I'm going to talk from my heart. I want a husband like Ayaan. Now don't ask me who Ayaan is. I love him so much. Just change your name and your face because Ayaan can never be my husband. He's the prince of my dreams. He understands, cares and loves so much. I wish I would have a husband like him. Don't think too much or else your head will burst. I'm praying for my marriage and for my husband every day that he's handsome, he'll take care of me and that he'll love me. I don't care if he's rich or poor. I just want him to love me all his life. But there are a few conditions - He should know his mother tongue and English and I don't want us to fight. I promise you that I'll love you and our kids. I will also take care of your family. I'll never leave you as we'll always be together. God, I know that you are listening to me. I'm begging you, please give me a husband like Ayaan. This is about the rest of my life, you know that too. Now I'll tell you about Ayaan. He just loved one girl and married her. I've never been in a relationship, this is true. I know its hard for you to believe this, but you should. All I want to say about Ayaan is that he's a character from my favorite movie. You must be thinking that I'm mad, but I'm not. It's 2:40 am in the morning and I'm writing my diary for you. Before you marry me, do watch this movie - "Shaadi karke phas gaya yaar". Be Ayaan, the husband of my dreams, that's all. I love you and don't forget that. We'll meet at the right time. Let God's will and decision be done. We'll live in happiness and let this be between my bhaiyya, you and me, okay. Once again, I love you so much. The rest is for some other day. I'm so happy now because of love. Love is magic. I don't know who you are, I've never seen you nor do I know you, yet I'm madly in love with you, my future husband. I love you. (PS - For my loving brother - Bhaiyya...I know you'll read this someday. I love you more each day. With love your little sister, Kiara.)
Your future wife,
Kiara Shehgal (your last name)
Karan closed the diary and said to himself, "my little sister is simple and now I know she wants a simple and loving man. Someone who will take care of his family. Someone who will love her more than anyone in this world". He felt so happy for her. Kiara and Karan were so close that everything belonged to each other including her diary. Karan kept the diary on her table and walked out of her room. He sat on the couch waiting for Kiara, who had gone shopping with her old friends. A while later she opened the door and walked in with two shopping bags. "Karan bhaiyya, I've got us something", she went near him and gave him one of them. "What is this dear?" "We'll open them together". Karan smiled at her and took out a black leather jacket from the cover. She took out the same thing from her cover. "Twinning...nice. I love it, thank you". "Most welcome Bhaiyya", she kissed him on the cheek, "mine" she turned her face and Karan kissed her too. "Kiara, do you think this jacket will fit Ayaan?" "Who's Ayaan?" "The one from your diary". "Oh...Ayaan..." "hmm" Karan gave her a wicked smile. "You read my diary, I didn't know that". She gave him an awkward smile and said, "this will be perfect for him". "What about your Ayaan". "Find him for me bhaiyya, take your own time". "I will and he will be nothing less than perfect for you baby". "I love you bhaiyya". "I love you too little one", they hugged each other. "Kiara please keep this jacket in the wardrobe" "Sure bhaiyya", she took both and went inside his room.
Little did they know that God wanted her to meet her future husband on the same day. Karan and Kiara went to a park a little away from their home. They often went there and sat to talk even though it was just them in their house. Kiara wanted her favorite bench to sit with her brother. But this time someone else was on it with a book and pen in hand. "It's taken, let's sit elsewhere today". "Bhaiyya..." she made her puppy face. "Kiara...no, don't disturb him". "That's our favorite spot". "Fine, come", Karan walked up to the man with her. "Excuse me" "Yes", it was Arjun. "My sister wanted to sit on her favorite bench in the park. I know you came first but if you could please find another place, it would be nice". "Sure sir, why not. Please sit, anyway I was about to leave home", replied Arjun. "Sorry to bother you" "No, it's okay, have fun". "You're a good man. I'm Karan Shehgal and this is my sister Kiara". "I'm Arjun Singh", he shook hands with them both. "Arjun Singh? A day in Shimla? Is that written by you", he asked. "Yes sir, that was my first book. I'm glad you read it". "You're an amazing writer. So you must be working on your new book huh?" "Yes, sir" "Bhaiyya would be fine". "Sure" "That book's one of our favorites", said Kiara. "Thank you", Arjun was one of those good gentlemen anyone could rarely find. "Can we take a photo with you please?" "Sure bhaiyya", he took a few photos with them. "Arjun have you watched the old Bollywood movies?" asked Kiara. Karan knew what she was up to now. "Of course I have". "Shaadi karke phas gaya yaar?" "What?" "The movie?" "Oh the movie, yes I love it because there's only one difference between Ayaan and me. He's a mechanic and I'm a writer". "You're joking right?" she asked just to make sure of what he was saying. "No, I'm not. I guess you're looking forward to marrying a man like Ayaan, right?" he asked her and she was surprised. "Wow, I'm impressed," said Karan. "I'll take leave then. It was nice meeting you both. We'll meet again if God wishes. Have a good day bhaiyya. You too Kiara". "Take care Arjun" "Bye Arjun," said Karan and Kiara and Arjun left the park. They sat down on the bench, soon Kiara was in another world as she still couldn't believe the words that came from him. Karan left her alone watching his little sister fall in love.
