Arjun couldn't concentrate on whatever he did after hearing Kiara say that she didn't wanna marry now. His mother never saw him be upset so she left him alone until he felt alright. Arjun was out of his mind already and he went back home from their house because Kiara had said that. His phone's screen showed 10 missed calls from Kiara who was calling him to apologize. He didn't wanna pick up yet she kept calling him which made him more upset. It rang for the 11th time and Arjun lost control of his anger, "Hello!!" "Hello Arjun", said Kiara in her soft voice. "What do you want Kiara? Can't you just leave me alone? Don't you have the common sense to understand why I didn't take the calls? Keep the phone Kiara, I don't wanna talk". "Arjun, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you". "Sorry? Keep it to yourself and don't disturb me for God's sake", he yelled and cut the call, throwing his phone on the bed. Minutes later he got another call, when he looked at the phone screen it was Disha. "Hey, Disha..." "Jiju, are you ok?" "Not really" "I know...even we didn't like what she said to you. Really sorry, she's crying now and it's hard to see that. Please Jiju...can you talk to her?" He was quiet for a while. "Jiju?" "I'll talk" "Thank you, I'll give her the phone". "Kiara?" "Arjun", she replied and her voice was breaking. "Sorry Kiara, I was hurt when you said that. I shouldn't have yelled at you. Everything is fine with us, now don't worry". "Ok..." "I love you, Goodnight", he said with a smile. "Goodnight and love you too", said Kiara from the other end. He felt much better and slept off soon but in his mind, he was thinking about Dev and Disha. The next day Arjun didn't get out of his room. When his mother opened the room door, she saw plenty of crumpled papers on the floor. "Beta..." "Please Ma, not now, I'm working", he said and she walked out without disturbing him. His phone was silent as he didn't want any disturbance while he was writing. The land phone at his home was ringing and Shanti picked it up, "Hello". "Hello Ma", it was Kiara. "Hello dear, you must have called Arjun, didn't you?" "Yes, but how did you know ma?" "When he's working, he'll never use his phone. I'll let him know, is there anything you want me to tell him?" "No Ma, thank you, bye". "Bye dear". The call was cut.
Kiara was sitting on the couch lost in thoughts. "Kiara, you need to give him his space", said Karan. "I am" " No you're not, I don't think he likes it when you keep calling him all the time". "That's true but I wanna talk to him". "You'll be married to him then you'll be with him 24x7. Until then you need to be patient. He's an introvert and more than that a writer by profession. Try to understand". "You're right bhaiyya", she said giving her phone to Karan. "It's better if this is with you". "No, I trust you", Karan said knowing how much she wanted to talk to Arjun. Dev and Disha were tired of being home. "Can we go out somewhere?" asked Dev. "I don't want to go anywhere". "Come on Kiara...Karan bhaiyya, what's wrong with her?", asked Disha. "She's been so ever since her marriage is fixed. I don't know what to do. Why don't both you go?" "Really bhaiyya? Forget it, not today Disha". "Its okay darling", Disha replied. They felt bad as Kiara was being the opposite of how she used to be. Dev took Disha to their room and closed the door while Karan decided to give his little sister the talk. "We came here to be with Dev and Disha but if this is what you wanna do then we'll go back home". "I know but Arjun..." "Arjun...Arjun...Arjun, come on Kiara, having a lover doesn't mean you should forget about the others in your family. I don't wanna hear about Arjun from you 24x7. We all have his number and if ever we wanna talk, we'll dial his number or go meet him, understand". "I'm not talking about my boyfriend bhaiyya". "Then who is he now? Is your engagement or wedding done?" "No" "Then?" "Okay, you're right, sorry. Where are they, we'll have fun, I promise bhaiyya". "You made them sad and now you want them here? Grow up Kiara". "Don't shout at me bhaiyya, please", she said and leaned her head on his shoulder, holding his arm.
In the other room, Dev and Disha were talking about the last day and called up Arjun. This time Arjun picked up the call, "Hello, Dev". "Hey Arjun, did I disturb you?" "No you didn't, I was just checking my Instagram. Let me guess...Disha is with you". "Yea, how did you know?" "and you guys called me to ask about the meeting?" "Arjun you didn't keep any secret cameras in our room right?" Arjun had a good laugh, "No, lucky guesses. Anyway I was about to call you, so tomorrow around five, I'll see you at the coffee shop". "But Arjun, Karan bhaiyya and Kiara's home. Can we bring them along?" "No Dev, I just want you and Disha here. See y'all tomorrow then, bye Dev". "Bye Arjun" "Dev can you hand the phone to Disha please?" "Sure", said Dev. "Hello Jiju" "Hey Disha, I'll see you tomorrow at five at the coffee shop". "and then?" "you'll know...bye Disha". "But jiju..." "no, no Disha...tomorrow...bye". "Bye jiju", he kept the call. They looked at each other. "Something's going on in his mind. Are you nervous?, asked Dev. "Nervous? Why? He's definitely got a plan bhaiyya. Few more hours to go, so let's wait". "Why does it feel like my exam results are gonna be announced tomorrow?", he said. "That was years ago", she said and laughed. "But I just noticed that you're happier after Arjun came to our family, just like me". "Of course...we are darling, even Karan bhaiyya. Kiara is actually very lucky". "Even we'll be lucky and blessed. Don't worry", said Dev smiling at his little sister. Next day they were both excited till four thirty after which they left the house. Karan and Kiara noticed the change in them but didn't ask what they were up to.
At exact five, they were at the shop and ordered their usual coffees and muffins from Arjun who joined them after work. "Hey guys", said Arjun with a huge smile. "Hey Arjun", they said in unison. "Jiju you seem so happy. Why?" "I'll tell you". "Arjun enough of the suspense", added Dev. "Actually it's a surprise. Ready?" he asked looking into their eyes, "Turn around". They did as told having no idea what they were into.
