"Long time no see Sophie"

Sophie's p.o.v

I rolled my eyes at his playfulness.

"Hey Ethan" I smirk knowing he likes it when I call him E.

"Sophie, Jack, this is Lisa and Perry" my dad said.

I nodded a hi to Lisa and when I turned my attention to Perry I noticed he was familiar.

Then it hit me, it's Mr. Hunt, my schools principal. I got really scared, I didn't want my parents finding out I got detention, I'm just going to have to hope he doesn't recognise me.

I sat down beside Ethan and it must have been obvious I was scared. So he put his hand on my thigh and gave me an "are you okay" look.

I shrugged at him. Earning him to trace circles with his thumbs on my legs in effort of comfort me, and it was working.

I think my mum might have noticed.

"So Grayson, Ethan how is your school going?" My mum asks, she better not get embarrassing

"Uhh well Ethan and I play Lacrosse, I also plan to either play professional lacrosse or start up my own business in the food industry" Grayson nods signalling he is finished with this answer.

"You look like you have got your life on track"  my mum replies impressed.

"How about you Ethan"

As she was asking Ethan had taken a sip of his water and choked on it when called on.

"Uh- I don't know what I want to be" he lowers his head slightly.

"Oh that's fine you can just live off Grayson then" she laughs.

"Mum!" I scold.

She raises her hands in a "sorry" kind of way.

"What do you do Perry?" My dad asks changing the subject.

"I'm a principal at the highschool" he answers, he seems a little too macho to me.

"Oh the one Sophie goes to?" He asks intrigued.

He nods in response.

"How coincidental, hope she hasn't caused you too much trouble" My dad jokes.

My breath hitches, if he tells him my life is over. I had never gotten any detentions before and I definitely don't want them to find out.

Mr Hunt or Perry looks at me slightly but gives me a reassuring smile.

"Nope I haven't heard a word about her, that's a good thing. I only ever get told about the delinquents in the school" he laughs.

I look to Ethan in disbelief. Mr Hunt was the one that gave us the detentions... why didn't he say anything ?

Ethan just winks at me in return and we return to the conversation. 

The waitress comes up to us and asks for our order.

She seems to pay extra attention to Ethan.

"What can I get you?" She bends over when she gets to Ethan, showing her cleavage a little bit. This must be against protocol.

"Just the cheese burger combo please" he nods at her.

"Is that all you want?" She bats her eyelashes.
