Sophie's p.o.v

"Whatever I want" Ethan breathes.

I had never done anything like this before, it felt weird but oddly rebellious ?

A fact interrupts my thoughts.

"You kissed Meredith" I back away from him.

"I thought we were past this" he scoffs.

"We didn't even talk about it we just kissed!" I retort a little bit louder than needed.

"Fuck, sweetheart it didn't mean anything" he shrugs.

Something I have confirmed about Ethan: he doesn't care about girls feelings.

"It meant something to me" i lower my head.

He doesn't say anything, just stares at me, lost for words.

"You can't even say anything?" I choke.

Tears prick my eyes, it feels like barbed wire is around my neck, but I couldn't let him see me cry.

"I think I should go" I say while grabbing my bag from Ethan's car.

But when I close the door Ethan's standing right next to me.

"Stay" he says in his deep demanding voice.

"No" but I can't really look at him in the eyes right now

"What did I tell you about people who say no to me?" He asks in a evily cheeky tone.

"Guess we are going to find out cause I'm leaving"

It looks as if he were about to protest or say something. But he doesn't, he lets out a breath and takes his hands out of a fist and put them behind his head.

Kind of looked like he was trying to calm himself down.

After a few too many seconds of me staring he meets my eyes once again.

"You can leave now if you want, but I know you'll come back" he winks at me before turning around and walking towards his door.

"You're the one that's going to come back to me" I yell back.

I hear him chuckle and I see his head shake.

"No doubt about it" is all I hear before he walks into his house and I hear the click of his door.

Guess I'm walking.

Then I get a text.

Mum:
Why aren't you home. We are going out for dinner remember? Also Grayson and his family are joining us so we can all get to know each other. Be home soon xx

I mentally giggle at my mothers formal texting.

Shit. I might've forgotten about that, and now Graysons family is joining us, which means Ethan. I guess we will be seeing each other in earlier than we thought.

*at home*

My mum walks up to me and greets me with a hug. She looks stunning, who would've thought she had two kids.

"There's my beautiful wife" my dad yells.

"Me? Look at you" she drags out the me? For dramatic affect.

I can't help but aww at my parents relationship. Me and jack later and they still act like newly weds.

"Sophie are you going to get dressed" I'm a bit offended.

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" I gasp.

"Well darling it's a fancy place which requires more than your... usual attire"

I look at my clothes then to the rest of my family's. I did seem a little under dressed.

"Fine, don't expect any heels though, my feet hurt" I admitted. I did have to walk ALL that way home.

"Why, you do no sport"  Jack buds in.

"Doesn't mean my feet don't hurt jack-ass" I smirk at his nickname. He was really born into that one.

He shoots me a glare and ties up his shoes on the counter.

I pick out a simple nude dress, I knew it wasnt that fancy but I didn't want to go all out. It was smooth and slightly tight but not too tight because my family's all going to be there.

Pairing it with black flats and some black earrings that my mum got me for Christmas last year. I hoped she would appreciate it.

Before heading out I take a quick glance in the mirror and run my hand through my previously brushed hair. I kind of look... good. This was new to me, I'm not saying the weight made me look ugly, but I feel better and when I feel better I just overall look better.

I grab my phone and wallet then head to the car.

"You look lovely Sophie" my dad grins at me.

"Thanks dad, don't look too bad yourself" I say gesturing at his matching suit and tie.

*at the restaurant*

My mum wasn't lying. This restaurant was fancy as fuck, making me feel a little bit underdressed.

I gaze around the place and spot the Dolan family already sitting at a half empty table. Grayson, Ethan, two people who I presume are the parents, and a girl ? Maybe they had a sister ?

"Mark, Kate so good to see you!" I hear the lady ( which I think I am now 89% sure is the mother ) yell at my parents.

"Lisa how are you!" My mum chants back.

"Please sit so we can catch up!" Lisa explains, she gestures for the empty chairs.

Mum and dad sit closest to Lisa then Jack sits so I guess I'm sitting at the end.

Right next to Ethan. This should be fun.

"Long time no see sophie"

Woaahhhhh kind of a let down chapter I know. The caution warning isn't this chapter but maybe the next ¿?

I don't know why I describe a whole day in four chapters, am I dragging it on too much.?
