Sophie's p.o.v

"Ethan?" I ask.

"I love you" I say nervously.

He freezes.

His face is staring back at mine. Very confusing to read. I couldn't tell whether it was shock in a bad or good way.

"Say something" I beg.

I see his mouth twitch open, but close again as if he were at a loss of words.

"I'm sorry, you don't have to say it back" I say now realising how embarrassing that is.

"No sweetheart, Sophie, it doesn't take a genius to know that I'm insanely in love with you" he finally speaks.

I can't help but feel my lips curve into a cheesy grin.

He leans in slowly, even though he should know by now, that I do definitely want to kiss him. Yet he asks for permission anyway.

I gladly close the gap between us and if I didn't already know it. This kiss showed he loved me, he went slower than usual and wasn't his usually hungry self.

He slowly pulled away and he watched my eyes flutter open.

Ethan glances at his watch.

"Alright time to get ready for the party" Ethan cheekily states.

"It's not a party it's a small gathering"

Ethan rolls his eyes in response

This was true because only a few people were showing up.

I looked around Ethan's room. Waiting for him to leave so I could get dressed.

"Um?" I ask.

"What?"

"I need to change"

"Then change" Ethan responds in a duh tone.

I just stare at him in a 'are you serious' manner.

"What? It's not like I haven't seen you before"

"Ethan!" I yell hitting him in the shoulder.

"Ouch"

"You deserved it"

"Oh did I?" He asks with mischief in his tone.

I squint at him, trying to figure why type of game he was playing.

"..yes" I say skeptically.

Ethan picks me up and throws me over his shoulder.

"Ethan! Put. Me. Down." I yell in between punches to his back.

"Did I still deserve it?" He asks between fits of laughter.

A part of me didn't want him to put me down because he would stop laughing, his laugh is music to my ears.
