Newt Grant groaned, shutting the alarm on his phone off and turning around and trying to go to sleep when his mother's voice rang on his ears. "Newt, honey! Ned and Peter are here."
Newt jumped up, looking at his phone to see he turned off all three of his alarms. He ran around his room, grabbed his pants, and ran out of his room. As he walked down the stairs, he shoved his hoodie on. "Oh, no, Newt! You are going to"
His mother was interrupted as he fell to the floor, finally getting the hoodie on. He got up, dusting himself off. "I'm fine! I'm ready. We can go."
His mother laughed at him, grabbing his head as he continued to dust himself off, kissing his forehead. His head snapped up, surprised. "Okay! We can go! Let's go! Come on, Peter, Ned!"
He ran out the door, grabbed a jacket from the racket, and slammed the door behind the two. Peter smiled, looking at Newt, and Newt noticed, rolling his eyes. "I get it! I feel down the stairs! No need to stare at me!"
Peter quietly chuckled, shaking his head. His bag hanging on one shoulder, Newt wrapped his hand in the opposite strap, ripping it from Peter. "Newt! W-what was that for?"
Newt shrugged his shoulders; "I don't know; I thought it would catch you off guard and bother you. But, now I realize that you may-no! Here take your bag."
Newt handed him the bag, only for Peter to take a step back. "You are the one who took it from me. Now, you carry it."
Newt shrugged his shoulders as if he didn't care. The three boys continued their walk, Newt knowing that he either had to keep it a secret forever or tell him soon. But, he didn't want to tell him, ever.
