NEWT HAD IMMEDIATELY GOTTEN UP WHEN HEARING THE SCHOOL BELL RING. He had practically ran away from Peter.
Peter walks the empty halls,looking for Newt. But instead he had found his other crush. Peter slowly approached her. "Hey."
She looked back at him. "Hey."
The two walked towards each other. "I thought you had calculus fifth period."
Liz nods even though she had kinda liked Peter she found herself wondering where Newt was. "Yeah,I was just doing someone homecoming stuff."
Peter approaches Liz,neither of them noticing how Newt had stood behind a door. He was about to leave the room,when he heard the two's voices. "Hey,look,I,uh....I just wanted to apologize about the whole Decathlon thing. I really-"
Liz interrupted him,stopping him in his sentence. "It's fine. Last week,Decathlon was the most important thing,but then I almost died.
Upon hearing those words,it had made Peter start to stutter more. "No,I,I just mean...that...it was not cool,especially..."
Peter sighed in the middle of his rant. His voice has grown lower. "Because....I like you."
Liz looked around,searching for Newt. It was obvious Newt liked Peter. But Liz couldn't tell if Peter liked Newt. "I know."
Peter stares at her,shocked. "You do?"
Liz looked at him,to her or has felt weird about this. Although Liz wasn't friends with Newt she couldn't help but feel bad about this. She knew that the boy liked Peter. "You're terrible at keeping secrets."
Peter smiles as does Newt whole he continues to listen. "Yeah,you'd be surprised."
The awkward silence took over,as they look over at a each other. "I got to get to class,but um,I'd say we should hang out,but I'm gonna be in detention for..."
Liz nodded,and set continued to listen in. He was planning in entering the halls once both of them where gone. "Uh-uh."
