The Paladins

Adams P.O.V

"Adam" Allura approached me "you were chosen by the red lion."

My smirk turned into a smile "uh-huh."

"This is amazing!" Romelle jumped up and down "Allura we must tell your father."

"It would definitely help with the fight" Lotor agreed.

"I suppose" Allura nodded "but if the red lion finally accept a paladin there may be a hope of assembling voltron."

Takashi was staring at me in shock. I winked at him laughing slightly. If I'm honest I was masking my shock and excitement.

"Congratulations Adam!" Pidge cheered hugging me.

I ruffled her hair slightly "ya well you'll be next."

Pidge looked up at him and rolled her eyes "doubt it."

"Don't doubt yourself" I said.

"I hate to interrupt your moment" Allura began "but I believe we must begin searching for new paladins at once."

"How do you suppose we do that?"
Takashi asked.

"We must each take a turn to connect with each lion" Allura answered.

Lotor spoke "if you don't mind I will stay out of this, I would rather lead my fleet and I can't do that while being in voltron."

"Very well" Allura nodded "I hope the rest of you are up to it."

A murmur of agreement went around the room.

"Perfect" Allura smiled "let us begin."

I stood at the side as everyone approached the lions. They all pulled the sheets away revealing the lions.

"They really are magnificent" I mumbled to myself.

Pidge's eyes were filled with hope and amazement as she stared at them. Slowly she stepped forward with her eyes closed towards no particular lion. Suddenly the green lion awoke roaring loudly. I stood up straighter in anticipation as the lion bowed its head down urging Pidge to connect with it. Pidge opened her eyes one by one and reached her hand out the lion. She beamed at it laughing slightly. I grinned, proud of her. Pidge jumped lightly as Allura places her hand on her shoulder.

"We have found our green paladin" Allura smiled at the girl.

Pidge turned towards me and started running. I caught her in a hug.

"I guess you were right" Pidge said.

I chuckled, putting her down.

Next Hunk stepped up anxiously.

After a second the yellow lion awoke from its slumber. Hunk smiled brightly at it. Lance nudged him.

"Who would of thought" Lance chuckled at his friend.

"I know" Hunk gazed at the lion.

"You'll do great buddy."

"I hope so" Hunk bit his lip "and so will you."

"What do you mean?" Lance asked confused.

He turned to see the blue lion towering above him. Keith nudged his boyfriend forward thrilled for him. Lance grinned widely.

"Hey blue" he breathed out.

Allura looked astonished and enthusiastic. Her fathers creation was going to help.

"All we have left is the black paladin" Allura said "the leader and head of voltron."

Lance and Hunk walked over to Pidge and I as we waited for the black lions decision.

The blacks lion stayed very still as everyone stared at it.

"Oh for crying out loud" Keith said shoving Takashi forward "Shiro it's obviously going to be you."

Takashi shook his head "Keith I'm not sure-"

Suddenly the black lion roared to life. Takashi gazed in wonder at it. I cheered loudly.

Allura looked amazed and excited "We have our voltron!"

Everyone cheered.

"Paladins we must get you your armour and bayards" Allura smiled.

She pressed a button and pods and a table rose from the floor. Each pod held a suit of armour.

Hunk looked at the armour "are you sure this will fit?"

"The armour will expand or decrease according to the paladins body type" Allura explained "your bayards will become a weapon that will suit you please get into you suits."

I approached the red suit and opened the pod. I lifted it out and walked out of the room to get changed in private. As Allura said the suit shifted to fit my size. I smiled at myself before walking back into the main area. The rest of the Paladin's were already changed.

"You look great" Takashi smiled at me.

"You don't look to shabby yourself" I grinned back at him.

"Paladin's now would you please get your Bayard it will help in battle to get comfortable with your weapons" Allura explained.

I lifted the red bayed and it became a long sword.

I grinned "sweet."

Allura smiled "oh my an Altean broadsword that's an honour Adam."

Pidge turned into an angular Katar and she smiled.

"Aw you got a cute Bayard" Lance teased.

She shocked him with the Bayard causing me to laugh. Once Lance recovered he picked up the blue Bayard. It turned into a sniper rifle.

He grinned "awesome."

Hunk picked up his and turned into a energy mini gun "wow."

Lastly Takashi picked up the Black Bayard and it turned into a sword. At first it looked normal before it glowed shocking purple. He gasped at it.

Allura looked like was she going to cry of happiness "now you are Paladin's of voltron."

I have to apologise for not updating in so long! I'm so sorry but the truth is I don't really like this story. It's hard to write something I don't like but I'm trying to continue it.
