The preparation

The next day everyone in the castle rustled around preparing for battle. Everyone was anxious and frightened but fighting for peace was the only option at the moment. Allura was the head of it all. She was making sure everyone was doing what they were supposed to be doing and that everyone was assigned to a weapon and a ship.

The paladins were having a slight panic attack and that includes me. Coran was cheering us on as we prepared to practice flying the lions.

"Adam calm down you are a very experienced pilot" Coran tried to assure me.

I raised an eyebrow "I know how to fly a regular ship not a giant red lion."

"It must be similar enough" Pidge said encouragingly though her voice was unsteady.

"Hopefully" I responded.

"You'll do fine" Takashi placed his hand on my shoulder.

I smiled at him "you'll do better."

"Love in the lions" Lance muttered and Pidge snorted and laughed loudly.

Takashi whispered under his breath "he's one to talk I'm pretty sure he and Keith has sex in the lions."

I laughed louder than Pidge had "wouldn't be surprised at all."

Keith was looking straight towards us "I heard my name."

"Oh it nothing" Takashi laughed.

"Shiro if you don't tell me right now I will punch you" Keith warned.

"Keith I swear-" Shiro tried to say.

I cut him off before he could finish "He was just saying that you and Lance had sex in the lions."

Keith blushed bright red and Lance glared at us his cheeks flushed. Pidge burst out laughing once again leaning on a very confused Matt who was just passing by.

"Um are you okay sis?" Matt chuckled slightly as Pidge struggled to stand up, hunching over from her laughter.

"Keith" She pointed a crooked finger at Keith them turned it to Lance "and Lance."

"Oh that they had sex in the lions" Matt realised "yeah Shiro told me about that you know I thought I heard moaning from them but I just figured they were haunted or something."

Soon we were all laughing except for Lance and Keith.

"Does everyone know about this" Lance huffed.

"I mean word spreads fast" I told him "I feel like it same on Earth as it is here but once some gossip gets out it spreads like wildfire."

Takashi nodded "we do love our drama."

"Is sex really drama?" Matt asked.

"Can everyone just please shut up!" Keith threw his hands in the air.

We started laughing once again.

Allura walked over to the group and sighed but smile nonetheless "if we would all stop laughing about Keith and Lance having sex in the lions I would like to talk to you guys."

Lance and Keith's eyes went wide. The group struggled to stop laughing especially at Allura's last comment.

"I hate you" Lance grumbled.

Allura nodded "the feelings is mutual you did make love in my fathers pride possessions."

"Noice" Matt chuckled.

"Noice indeed" Pidge wiggled her eyebrows over at Keith and Lance.

"Where are the rest of the..." Allura paused "lets just say our little group."

"Not really so little" Matt said "I mean you've got all of altea, Lotor's army and the rebels."

Allura rolled her eyes "no I mean our little group."

Pidge sighed "he knows Allura he's just being a cock."

"Watch your mouth young lady" Matt snapped playfully "I'll tell Dad."

"Dad knows I have a shit mouth" Pidge smirked "he heard me tell Lance to quote on quote go fuck himself up the ass or get Keith to-"

Keith put a hand over Pidge's mouth "we don't really need or want that sentence finished."

"Oh no do continue" I ushered in jokingly."

Hunk suddenly appeared with Romelle by his side.

"Sorry we're late" Hunk apologised "Romelle and I were making food for the fight."

"Food for the fight?" Keith asked.

Romelle nodded "you can't fight on an empty stomach Keith."

Allura smiled "thanks you two so much it will really be great help."

Romelle smiled proudly and Hunk gave a bashful grin.

"So where's Lotor?" Takashi questioned.

"Right here."

Everyone turned to see Lotor standing right behind Lance. Lance jumped and stumbled into Keith's arms.

"When did you get here?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"That will forever by a mystery my friend" Lotor chuckled.

There was silence for a moment.

Lotor snickered slightly "also I feel bad for the paladin who has to sit in the lion you two went at it in."

Keith and Lance went red with anger and embarrassment as Lotor patted them both on the back.

"Now that you're here" Allura gave a quick glance towards Lotor "we can finally began. I would like to do some test flying to make sure everything runs smoothly. Especially for our new paladins of Voltron you must bond with your lions fast. Now everyone please head to your ships."

Lance kissed Keith goodbye before waking over the lions with the rest of the paladins.

"Your so in love it's sweet but it sickens me" Pidge nudged Lance.

Lance laughed "you know sometimes I think Keith thinks the same thing."

"Paladins please enter your lions" Cowan ushered us into the lions.

I took a deep breath trying to brace myself as I stared at the huge red lion
machine in front of me. What surprised me Takashi gently grabbed my hand and squeezed it. I smiled at him. His touch was so reassuring.

I squeezed his hand back and hear Lance say "now who are the love birds."

I didn't really care though I was just happy that we were getting somewhere.
The lions mouth opened up and a ramp descended. We let go of each others hands and walked up their separate ranks.

I entered the lions and looked around. I continued waking down the corridor until I found the cock pit. Hesitantly I sat on the seat. Surprisingly it was very comfortable.

"Paladins" I heard Allura through my helmet "are you ready for flight?"

"Yes."
