You see yourself, reflected in the mirror. Dark circles subdued your swollen amber eyes. Drowsiness weighed over your face.

Far away, in your reflected self, you see another person. A little girl, whose eyes were filled with happiness. You had recognized your younger self, the carefree and blissful girl time had taken over.

Tears started to drip down. Endless bittersweet tears. You wondered where that girl had gone, maybe time fucked her up. Maybe she had gone to Utopia. But that was impossible, for what were you doing here if your younger self had already gone to that serene world?

Are you still in me? You asked the girl. She didn't answer. Instead, she changed, into a child of resentment, of careless judgements, societal condemnation.

She was corrupted. And you are too.
