[7] A Gift

Previously~
"Y/n are you okay?" He asked

"Huh? Yea why do you ask?"

"Well you're crying..."

"What?" I bring my hand to my face and feel that it's wet.

"Oh... I guess it's because that song always makes me emotional." I said smiling at Meliodas.

Meliodas smiled back and hugged me. I hugged him back and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"I love you"

Little did I know that was going to be the last time I'll ever say it again...

Y/n's POV
Meliodas and I were sleeping in his bed when I woke up. He was soundly asleep and I went closer to his face and kissed his cheek. I was finally happy, I couldn't think of anywhere I would want to be. He woke up and smiled at me, I had my hand on his cheek still. I blushed and quickly moved my hand away. Meliodas chuckled and caught my hand and put it back. He started nuzzling into my hand, I giggled at what he did and smiled.

"Y/n want to go on a walk?" Meliodas asked.

"Yea sure let's go!" I said excited.

"Okay c'mon!" Meliodas said while grabbing my hand.

We ran out of the tavern and went inside the woods. We started walking hand in hand. There was a comfortable silence and I smiled thinking of yesterday. Meliodas' voice was so beautiful and aww I'm fangirling. I giggled at the thought and Meliodas looked at me weirdly. I smacked my forehead forgetting he was there. Meliodas laughed and I just glared at him playfully but laughed with him. Then Meliodas picked me up by the waist. I yelped then smiled and put my forehead against his. I was finally happy and it was with the person I loved. We both slowly leaned in and kissed. The kiss was passionate and lovely while telling us how much we truly cared for the other.

"Thank you y/n" Meliodas said randomly.

"For what?" I said giggling.

"For everything" Meliodas responded.

I smiled and said "thank you too"

"I love you y/n"

I smiled showing that I felt the same. He smiled back and hugged me. I of course hugged back. I started tearing up. I never had anyone to care for me and now that it was happening I could hardly take it. I wished it would stay like this forever but we all know forever isn't reality. I always lost the one I cared for...but little did I know I was the one to be gone this time...

Meliodas and I walked back to the tavern hand in hand smiling like idiots.

Ban caught us and said "why the heck are you so smiley cap'n?"

"Because I'm with my y/n here" Meliodas said smiling even more.

I blushed and looked away, I heard Meliodas chucking. I smiled and looked back up and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"I'll be with the girls I'll talk to you later byee"

"Aww...okay I'll talk to the guys bye" Meliodas responded.
I walked inside The tavern and sat down next to Elizabeth.

"Hey Elizabeth!" I yelled louder than I intended.

Elizabeth yelped and turned around. She sighed and said "hey y/n!". Elizabeth smiled and said "so~ hows it been with Meliodas~" she said smirking.

"It's been w-well" I said blushing a little.

"Well I heard it was someone's birthday yesterday! I got you a present! Sorry I wasn't here yesterday..." Elizabeth said holding a small f/c box.

"Oh no! It's okay! You didn't have too!" I said.

"Take it. I chose something that I thought you would love~" Elizabeth said.

I sighed and took the small f/c box. I smiled and opened it. It was a necklace, the necklace was in a shape of a heart it had a diamond and was silver. I gasped and said "HOW MUCH WAS THIS?!" I yelled. (Lol it was $70)(look at this picture above)

"Hey it wasn't that much besides I had to for my bestie!" Elizabeth said.

"Ahhh I'm so happy you are my bestie!" I said hugging her tightly.

"Y-y/n I n-need to b-breathe!" Elizabeth yelped.

"Oof sorry" I said releasing from the hug.

"Here let me help you put it on" Elizabeth said taking the necklace. I turned around and moved my hair away from my back. I heard shuffling, then saw that the necklace was getting put on. I smiled but then I felt lips on my neck. I gasped and turned around and saw that it was MELIODAS?! So that's why there was so much moving!

"AHHH" I yelled falling on the ground with an 'oof' sound.

"Sorry y/n" Meliodas said rubbing the back of his neck.

"It's fine" I said whilst getting up.

"Good!" Meliodas said bring out a thumbs and a huge smile.

I giggled at his actions and went upstairs to go to sleep.
