"You're the only girl I want to be with," he whispered, his voice travelling along with the wind.

His strong arms encircled me, and our hearts beat in sync, calling out to each other in song.

My wild curls tumbled about in the breeze and his fingers tried to tame them, brushing tendrils away from my face.

"Marry me, Elle, make me the happiest man alive," his lips grazed the skin on my jaw and I sighed in agony and frustration.

I clutched at his shirt in fear and sadness, but he smiled against my skin, thinking it was a reaction to his ministrations.

Do I tell him that I saw his marriage certificate in the safe he told me wasn't important?

" Elle, talk to me,"  he cupped my face with both hands and smiled widely at the tears that streamed down the side of my face.

Tears of pain, of anger and disgust. But he kissed them away like tears of joy and happiness.

He had no idea, how badly I wanted to kill him.
