I moved my feet grudgingly as I continued the five kilometers journey back home, the sun was blaring so hard that I couldn't see. School had been terrible.
Emeka the school bully started his case with me immediately the school bell rang signalling the end of school.
My head still hurt from the knocks I received. Suddenly I don't feel the sun hot beams any more. I looked up and I saw a huge cloud covering the sun, I smiled grateful to God for this wonderful gift, beside it was another cloud and this time it had a shape, the shape of a zebra? Wow! Then an antelope, then a hyena!
I kept on moving forward following the shapes of animals formed by the clouds without even looking at where I was heading. I finally stopped but still looking up at the sky when I saw another cloud shaped in the form of a hand waving or was it telling me to stop? I couldn't really tell.
"Tochi?" I finally looked away from the sky and turned towards the direction from where I heard my name. I saw my elder sister with a puzzled look on her face, I was in front of my father's compound! How?!
"What's wrong with you? Why were you staring at the sky like that and smiling?" I chuckled.
"Its nothing." I told her, "its nothing."
