Just my problem (marceline x fem reader)

Chapter 4

Finn slowly entered and I stood up to be courteous to the boys and greet them properly. The intense stare had stopped but I still caught him giving me the odd sideways glance that Marceline noticed to as she sent an apologetic look suggesting he's not usually like this. The awkward silence was interrupted by Jake yelling "let's get this Jam session started!!" and brandishing his violin in the air. I gasped a little too loud than I'd like drawing the attention of all the people preparing instruments. I responded with a sheepish grin and they went back to their business. I was going to witness a jam session with Marceline. It's safe to say I was ecstatic. Finn began with a beat and Jake followed with a beautiful violin tune and suddenly the sweetest melody I've ever heard filled the air as Marceline began singing and playing her bass effortlessly with her eyes closed gracefully floating around. I simply sighed in satisfaction and enjoyed the show, a smile plastered on my face.

Eventually they finished and Marceline's gaze fell to me staring directly and upon seeing me her cheeks grew a light shade of pink and she laughed nervously. "(Y/N) cut it out" she whined still blushing a little and snapping me out of my trance. Upon realising I was day dreaming I blushed a little too. "Sorry for staring" I apologized "but you were just amazing". the show had done no justice for her amazing vocal capabilities she could tame the most unruly of creatures with ease with such amazing talent in her arsenal.

"Hey what about us!?" Finn chimed in sounding offended and I felt a little bad for ignoring their contributions so I smiled at them both warmly "yeah you two were good as well" I spoke dismissively provoking a groan from the two of them.

Soon we were all yawning and rubbing our eyes. All except Marceline of course, y'know vampire and stuff. "Well I  think it's time we all called it a night!" she said clapping her hands loudly causing all of us to jump. Sluggishly we all stood up and went to the door Finn and Jake leaving as I lingered inside. "Aren't you coming (Y/N)" Finn questioned gesturing for me to follow. Politley I responded "No I'm um staying here tonight. Right Marceline?" she simply nodded and Finn looked at me looking very upset and conflicted. He was about to say something but was cut off by Jake telling him to hurry up because he was super tired and needed to get his beauty sleep or something. With one final look of sorrow he obliged following with a slight wave. "See you around I guess" I said as he left and Marceline closed the door.

"Well time for bed" she groaned stretching elegantly causing me to oggle at her beauty a little. "Here follow me" she said offering her hand which I happily took and she led me up to her bedroom. "Wow don't you think this is a little forward Marceline. I mean we only just met" I joked. She turned around wide eyed and blushing furiously "dude you're so annoying" she said playfully giving me a little shove. "Honesty though you take the bed." She said warmly
"Hey I can't just kick you out of your bed I'm just crashing the night" you protested secretly hoping it wouldn't be the last night you spent in Marceline's bedroom. She chuckled "No dude I don't even use the bed I just float anyway so it doesn't matter where I sleep" she chuckled. "ah right that makes sense" I said making my way to the bed and lifting the sheet.

The bed was icy cold and the mattress was like a pile of rocks but I didn't really mind it's gotta be better than sleeping on the floor. As I got in I could smell Marceline on the sheets even though she never slept here her amazing scent lingered on the bed. It wasn't a bad smell. It was indescribable but definitely a good smell. It was so exotic and mysterious which just screamed Marceline.

She floated horizontally next to me crossing her arms over her chest and smiling over at me "Well goodnight (Y/N)" she said softly closing her eyes.

I heavily contemplated asking her to join me in the bed but it would make me a hypocrite as that would be way too forward. Anyway it's not like she likes me or anything we only just met and to her. I'm just some random hobo she'll be happy to see the back of right

Right?...
