Recap

"Why were you going after Liza?!" Auggie demanded to know as Damon stabbed the stake in the vampires leg.

"That is Victoria." The man said before Auggie stabbed him in the heart.

"N-No." Eliza cried out. She couldn't help but feel responsible for the vampires death.

"It had to be done. " Damon told her. "He was invited in."

Damon barged into the room where the happy couple laid, with a big smirk plastered on his face. "Morning sunshine's."

"Damon!" Elena gasped covering herself up.

"What are you doing in here?" Stefan groaned.

"Relax, If I've seen something I haven't seen before I'd throw a dollar at it." Damon replied, sitting on the edge of the bed. "I like this foursome thing we have going on, it's kind of kinky."

"Damon get out of here!" Elena threw a pillow at him.

"I have a mission for both of you, we are going to find the grimoire." Damon stated.

"Why would we help you?" Stefan asked.

"Let's just say once I get what I need, I'll be out of your hair." Damon responded.

"Fine."Stefan gave in, and Damon finally left the room.

Damon went downstairs to look through the Salvatore's library. He passed the couch and saw the little Gilbert still asleep. She was curled into a ball and her mouth was slightly open.

Nothing ever changes. Damon thought to himself with a small smile. He tapped her lightly on the shoulder to wake her up.

"Oh, s-sorry." She said realizing where she was. "L-Lena didn't want to take me home last night."

"You're fine." Damon chuckled. "Do you want some breakfast?"

"I-If it's no problem." Liza replied standing up. She was still in her 50's attire from the previous night before.

"You can take a shower if you'd like." Damon offered.

"I d-don't have clothes." Liza informed him.

"I've got you." He said leading her to his room. Liza was in awe as she saw his luxurious room. It was so open, his bed looked so big and warm.

He searched through his drawers to find the smallest shirt of his he could find. He handed her a grey shirt and showed her to his bathroom.

"I know it's not the girl stuff, but you can use my shampoo and body wash." He told her as he handed her a fluffy towel and wash cloth.

"T-thank you." She replied. Damon left and she stepped into his shower. She used his shampoo and body wash and couldn't stop inhaling the scent. It smelt like Damon, and she loved the smell of Damon.

After she finished she wrapped herself in a fluffy towel. Then she put her clothes on...well Damon's clothes. The shirt was huge on her, it went all the way to right above her knees.

"Breakfast is served." Damon said as he saw Liza descend down the stairs. Her mouth fell open when she saw the decorated table filled with breakfast foods.

"D-Damon, you didn't have to do this." Liza said as he led her to the chair and pulled it out for her.

"I wanted to." He said with a smile.

"I h-have a question." Liza said after she ate a piece of bacon. "Were we a th-thing?"

"We were actually engaged." Damon informed her, looking down in sadness.

"I- I'm sorry I can't remember." Liza said.

"It's not your fault." He said shaking it off, and cheering himself up.

They finished their breakfast in silence and Damon could take his eyes off of Liza. She looked so adorable in his shirt, he just wanted to kiss her all over. But he couldn't.

*vision*

"Damon, what do I owe the pleasure?" Victoria smiled as the boy knocked on her door.

"I am going to take you on a picnic." He exclaimed showing her the packed basket. "I'll leave you to get dressed in the proper attire." He smiled.

Victoria got dressed in a dress for the outside, with a brown hat to protect her from the sun. She went outside to look for Damon and found him saddling up a horse.

"My princess." Damon said with a big smile on his face. He took her hand and helped her onto the horse.

"Damon."She blushed.

"What? you are." He said hopping onto the horse and turning around to kiss her forehead.

He led the horse through the forest and over the mountains.

"Wow." Victoria gasped looking at the view. "Damy, this is amazing. I've seen the mountains before, but never like this."

"Only the best for you." Damon said as he pulled the horse to a stop. He tied the the rope to a tree and laid the blanket down. They were surrounded by yellow roses, Victoria's favorite.

He opened the basket to show it was filled with all of Victoria's favorite food. "Damon, this is really unnecessary." She tried to tell him seeing all that she did for her.

"Let me spoil you, my love." Damon told her, feeding her a strawberry.

"Damy, I really don't deserve it." She told him. "You're too nice to me. I'm a monster." A sad sigh escaped her lips.

"Shh, sweet, don't talk about yourself like that. You are nothing compared to a monster." He said wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close to his chest. She put her ear to his heart and listened to it beat. "You're so pure, and loving."

"You're so kind Damon. I love you." She whispered with a smile, looking up at him.

"I love you too."

"Now." He said standing up. "Normally I would have talked to your father, but he's not here. "

"Damon..." Victoria started realizing where he was going with this.

"Victoria Elizabeth Pierce. These last few months with you have been the best times of my life. Every fiber in my body is drawn to you, and I love you with everything I have. Do me the honor and become my wife?" Damon asked, on one knee and holding a ring out to her.

"Of course." Victoria jumped onto him with a hug. Damon wrapped his arms around her waist and twirled her around.

***

Damon looked down at the ring in his hand. He still kept it after all of these years. He didn't want to forget Victoria, he couldn't. Now that she was back, he didn't know where things between them were heading. He didn't know if she would even remember everything.

"Okay, s-so what do you need help with." Liza asked walking into his room.

He quickly hid the ring without her seeing and turned to her. "The grimoire, I need to find it. I don't trust my brother or your sister."

"O-Okay, Um, b-but before we do that. I kinda promised Aunt Jenna dinner." Liza told him.

"Okay, I'll join." He said grabbing his keys and taking her to his car.

They arrived to the Gilbert house and Elena was already there. "Thank god your here." Jenna exclaimed when he saw the girl. "We're starving, and we missed your cooking." she said exaggerating.

Liza started to cook spaghetti and meatballs, along with some garlic bread made from scratch.

"That smells absolutely delicious." Damon said walking into the kitchen. "I didn't know you were Italian." He smirked.

"I-I'm not." She smiled at his joke. Damon couldn't help but smile as well, it was contagious.

"Can I do anything to help?" He asked as Liza was chopping up basil.

"Uh s-sure. You can set the table." She told him. Damon helped and Liza set the bowl and pan full of food on the table.

"D-Dinner is ready." Liza called out and one by one they came piling in.

"Oh my god Liza." Jeremy moaned with his mouth full of food. "You need to cook more."

"I haven't had your food since mom and dad were around." Elena said sadly.

"It's amazing Liza." Jenna smiled. "Thanks for giving me a break for the night."

"No pro-problem." Liza responded.

"So Mr. Salvatore, what's going on with you and my niece?" Jenna asked Damon who was stuffing his face full of food.

"Aunt J-Jenna." Liza groaned.

"No it's okay." Damon said after he swallowed his food. "We are just friends. Though I do like her very much, I don't think she feels the same."

Liza blushed. Sure she wanted to be with Damon. She was remembering all the time they spent together, the love they shared. She still felt the same and it was only growing stronger. But she was scared. Somehow her and Damon were ripped apart from each other, and she didn't want to break his heart again.

After dinner Damon and Elena were cleaning up, while Liza took a quick nap.

Elena was washing a dish when Damon bumped into her. "Don't do that." She scowled.

"Do what?" Damon tried to act innocent.

"That move was deliberate." Elena said, drying the dish.

"Yeah, I was deliberately trying to joke with you." Damon rolled his eyes.

"Well stop it." Elena sneered. She really didn't like Damon all that much. He was always a jerk with his smart comments and his kill streak. Somehow that all seemed to diminish when it came to her sister. That was the only good thing about the guy, he would do anything for her.

"This new sense of trust, is it real?" Damon asked Elena.

"Yeah." She replied looking towards him, realizing he was growing suspicious

He got closer and looked into her eyes. "Can I trust him?" He asked her.

"Damon I'm wearing vervain, you can't compel me." Elena informed him.

"I'm not trying to compel you." He said honestly. "Can I trust him."

"Yes." Elena lied, not giving their plan away.

Damon simply nodded and went to the living room where Jeremy sat, playing xbox.

"Wanna play?" he asked Damon, offering a controller.

"No thanks, " Damon shook his head. "I'd be terrible."

"Come on just try it dude." Jeremy pushed it again.

"Fine." Damon said taking the remote. After a few games, Jeremy was shocked. Damon had won every one, and he never played before.

"Listen." Jeremy started. "You may be older than me, but I swear to god if you hurt my little sister I will kill you. " He growled.

Damon smirked at the thought of Jeremy Gilbert. The weak human boy thought he could kill him. But he was protecting Liza, so he deemed him a good kid.

Jeremy's phone started ringing and he declined it.

"Girlfriend?" Damon questioned.

"I dunno." Jeremy said unsure. "We're talking but..."

"But what? Is she hot?" Damon asked.

"Yeah but she's weird." Jeremy answered.

"Hot trumps weird, trust me." Damon said before he eavesdropped on the conversation Elena and Jenna were having.

"Why doesn't Liza get with that? Seriously he's hot!" Jenna exclaimed.

"Yeah but he can be a dick." Elena said a little loudly, knowing Damon could hear. Damon rolled his eyes before turning his eyes to the stairs as he heard Liza coming back downstairs.

"Morning sleepyhead." Jeremy joked.

"S-sorry... I didn't mean to fall asleep." Liza said. "I guess i-it's the pregnancy."

"It's all good." Damon replied.

"Here's your sh-shirt, I put it in the w-wash for you." Liza informed him, handing him the grey cotton.

"Thanks." He smiled. "Are we ready to go? We're losing daylight." Damon informed her.

"S-Sure."

They walked through the woods, heading towards the spot where his father was buried. Suddenly Liza led out a small whimper and gripped her stomach.

"You okay there?" Damon asked, his voice laced with concern.

"Y-yeah." She replied releasing it. "I probably j-just ate too much."

"If you need to stop, let me know." He told her as they continued, that's when he heard the voices of his brother and Elena and Stefan's voices. "You've got to be kidding me. Listen if I need to use you as leverage, just know I don't mean to hurt you, I need to get back at Elena and Stefan."

Liza's eyes widened and she grew nervous, realizing what was about to go down.

"Well this is a turn of events." Damon said dryly as they walked upon Elena and Stefan.

"Damon." Elena said, shocked he found them.

"I knew I couldn't trust you." He told Stefan. "But you, you had me fooled." He looked at Elena.

Suddenly Damon has his arms around Liza's neck, but he was very gentle with it. Only him and Liza knew that.

"Hand me the book, or I will have a vampire girlfriend." Damon pretended to bite his wrist and shoved it into her mouth. Liza decided to play along and grip his arm. They deserved it, they tricked Damon after he trusted them.

"Give me her first." Stefan demanded.

"The problem is I no longer trust you to give me the book!" Damon responded

"You just ensured the one thing." Stefan told him.

"The book!" Damon demanded.

Stefan tossed the book and Damon slowly released Liza. Before he let her go he whispered "I'm sorry."

Elena grabbed Liza into a hug, inspecting her. Checking for any wounds.

"Aah." Liza fell on her knees, gripping her stomach once more. "It hurts." She cried out.

"Oh my god, Liza."Elena said meeting her on the ground.

"I'll take her to my house." Stefan said lifting her up. "You should probably go home, Damon's going to be mad at you." He warned the eldest Gilbert.

Elena nodded and went on her way. Stefan took Liza and vamped her to the boarding house.

"Liza I don't mean to freak you out," Stefan told her as he laid her on the couch. "But your stomach grew twice the size tonight"

"Oh w-wow". She said looking at her stomach. "I d-don't understand."

"Don't worry." Stefan told her, "We can call Bonnie, see if she knows what's going on."
