Recap                                                                                                                                                                                           "I want to apologize to you for being such a world-class jerk the other night when I tried to kiss you. There's no excuse. My therapist says I'm...Acting out, trying to punish Stefan." Damon explained looking at the now dazed girl.

"F-for What?"

"It's all in the past. I don't even want to bring it up. Let's just say that the men in the Salvatore family have been cursed with sibling rivalry. And it all started with the original Salvatore brothers."

"Liza" Auggie said storming into her room. His worry suddenly washed away once he saw how adorable the small girl was in her adorable room. She was curled up in a ball, wrapped in her duvet. "Liza" he said again, shaking her awake.

"W-what?" She said waking up and putting on her glasses.

"Something is wrong with me, I'm- I'm freaking out." Auggie said pacing her room.

"What- w-what is i-it?" She asked.

"My father." He said anger washing over him. "He killed me, but I'm still alive somehow"

"Auggie d-don't joke w-with me l-like that." Liza said sighing.

"I'm not lying. Something is seriously wrong with me, I don't feel right." He said.

"I'm sure y-you just h-had a very b-bad dream." Liza said. Sure Auggie's dad was pretty weird but he wouldn't kill Auggie.

Liza went over to her bathroom to brush her teeth but she stubbed her toe. She cursed under her breath before leaning down to look at it.

"Are you okay?" Auggie asked. Suddenly his face started to hurt, veins grew under his eyes and vangs popped out once he saw blood on her toe. 

"A-Auggie?"

"Run- go now." He said trying to contain his urge. It was so strong.

Liza ran outside and into the woods. She ran as fast as she could, until she was completely out of breath. She looked behind her to see Auggie, she let out a scream as he sunk his fangs into her neck.

The pain engulfed her as she started to feel light headed. Suddenly Auggie was ripped off of her as his neck got snapped. Liza was about to fall when Damon vamped and caught her.

"D-d-Damon Get o-out of h-here. Auggie will get y-you." Liza said struggling to get out of Damon's arms.

"He's not going to be hurting anyone." Damon said lifting her up and vamping her to the boarding house.

"Woah h-how did you g-go that fast?" She asked him.

"I'll explain later, but you need rest." He said laying her on the couch and Liza fell into deep sleep.

Damon went back and threw Auggie over his shoulder, he vamped him to the boarding house and locked him in the cellar.

He really did not like the kid, especially since he tried to kiss and kill Liza. Yet he knew how much Liza loved him, he couldn't hurt her like that.

He went to Liza and inspected her wounds. He got a first aid kit and tended to them.

After a while Liza woke up to Damon and Vickie dancing around the room.

"Look who is up." Damon smirked walking over to her.

"W-w-what happened? What is A-Auggie. What a-re you?" Liza asked trying to back away from Damon.

"Don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you." He smirked which made Liza not believe him. "Auggie just turned into a vampire, I on the other hand have been a vampire for quite sometime now."

"Y-you're joking r-right?"

"Does it look like I'm joking." He said before bringing his fangs out.

Liza tried to run for the door but Damon vamped to her and stood in front of the door.

"Look I said I'm not gonna hurt you."

"W-what about Auggie?"

"I'm going to teach him how to control his thirst. He won't touch a hair on your pretty little head."

"Oh t-thank you" Liza exclaimed giving Damon a hug. Damon was taken back at first but soon hugged back. It was the first time he felt her embrace since 1864. She was warm and smelt like vanilla, she always smelt like vanilla. Her scent was very sweet, just like her personality.

"W-well I r-really should be g-getting home now." Liza said pulling away.

"You're not going anywhere." Damon growled.

"I-I thought y-you said you we-weren't gonna h-hurt me." Liza said suddenly scared again.

"And I won't. I just need leverage for Stefan, he took my daylight ring which allows me to walk in The Sun." Damon explained, trying to calm her down

"o-okay" Liza said timidly, sitting down on the couch.

She kept tracing her fingers into circles on her pants out of nervousness, she couldn't help but notice how she couldn't stop shaking.
