Chapter 16 (New begining)

3 years later

Todoroki's P.O.V.

"Daddy! Wake up! Wake up!" Komo crawls onto the bed and jumps onto my chest, pressing the air out of my lungs. "Five more minutes..." I flip a pillow onto my face, he grunts. "No five minutes! Mamma get up!" He does the same to Izuku. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it though.

"Alright, Komo, I'm up. Let's let mamma sleep a little while longer" I sit up in bed and rub my eyes. "Okay..." He says softly. He crawls off of Izuku and plops down next to me. "Is momma tired from yesterday?" His head rests on my arm. "Yeah, he really had it rough" he's not in the best shape today. One day of work and he's covered in cuts and bruises, not to mention he broke his left foot. Thankfully they healed him but he is still very exhausted.

"Mamma really taught those bad guys who's boss! And kicked their butt too!"  He held his fists in front of him. "Heh yeah... Yeah, he did" I mess up his hair and smile. "Now! Let's go get something to eat, you're probably starving". Just as I was going to lift Komo, he stops me. "Grandma and grampa made me waffles"

Huh, well I guess it only leaves me and Izuku. "Okay then, let's bring mamma some waffles" he smiles and jumps up into my arms. Once out of the room, I close the door gently and walk to the kitchen.

Inko was having a conversation with Toshinori at the dining table. Komo interrupted the talk, "Grandma! Mamma needs waffles too!" He reached out to Toshi to carry him, in which he gladly accepted. Allmight sat him down on his lap and hugged him.
"Good morning Shoto, did you sleep well?" Inko asked as she poured a cup of coffee.

"I did, what about you two? I'm hoping you slept fine as well" as soon as I said that, Inko laughed. "Yes I slept well, but I can't say the same about Toshinori. He was being very noisy last night~". As soon as she finished her sentence, Allmight coughed up blood, luckily away from Komo.

" I-I-Inko! I don't think you should be te---" Ink cuts him off. "Anyway, here you go. Take this to Izuku" she hands me a plate of steaming, fluffy, waffles with fruit and syrup, along with a cup of coffee. I start to make my way back to the room. "Wait I forgot something!", I pause and turn around. She runs over with a milk carton and pours some inside the coffee. She stops and stares at me, at the carton, and back to me. " haha, the title reminds me of you~", she turns it around. The carton read "Half n' Half", all I could do was smile and nod my head. She giggles softly and walks back to the fridge.

I open the bedroom door and turn on the light. " Izuku, it's time to eat" he doesn't respond. I place down the plate and cup on the nightstand. It breaks my heart seeing his face covered in bandages and bruises, of course, it can't be helped since it's our job but... I don't know.

My thumb rubs against his black blue cheek. Izuku winces in his sleep and slowly opens his eyes, "ow..." He rubs his cheek and pouts. "Those bastards really got you good... *sigh* come one, it's time to wake up" he trembles as he sits up, his eyes squint from the lighting change. "Smells like coffee" I pick up the cup, "Let me help you, careful it's kinda hot". He nods and opens his mouth as much as possible, which wasn't much. The bandages on his jaw kept him from eating and drinking properly. I tilt the cup and pour a small amount into his mouth. He holds it in for a while before swallowing.

"Thanks," he says with a sweet grin. From down the hall, I hear small footsteps approaching the room fast. "Mamma! You're awake!" He sprints from the doorframe into Izuku's arms in a matter of seconds. Izuku squishes him in his arms, "Good morning baby~" Komo curls into a small ball in his lap.

It really is amazing, he's growing up so fast. I still remember when he was a newborn baby. Seeing his crystal blue eyes for the first time, his first laugh, his first word, his first steps... now look at him. "What are you thinking about?" Izuku rubs my hand, a curious look on his face. "...its nothing, I was just thinking about the new house" Komo grabs a piece of waffle from the plate and puts it in Izuku's mouth. "*whisper* I heard your belly rumble" his mom nods and looks back at me. "Everything going to be fine, the place is secure, there's a park nearby and Komo's already enrolled in daycare. The same one me and Kaachan went to as kids, he's gonna love it!"

Komo shoots up as soon as he mentioned Bakugo. "The same one as Uncle Kaachan? That's so cool, I wanna go!" Izuku looks up at me and raises an eyebrow. "He approves. It's gonna be fine Shoto" I scratch my head and sigh. "Either way, all our stuff is already packed and Allmight let us use his truck to take our stuff"

I mean he is right, there's no arguing with that. "Okay, I'm going to go talk with Toshi, finish up eat and get dressed. And that goes for you too Komo, you can't just wear pajamas all day" I point at him in his 'Deku' onesie. "Aw daddy, please!"  He begs, "Komo, your dads right. Besides, today's shower day" Komo lights up, as usual. His obsession with water got the best of him. He clings onto Izuku like a baby monkey, "I'm ready, let's go!" I grin and exit the room.
