[Alex' POV]

It's a Friday, and tonight will be another busy night for the bar.

We just finished rehearsals for the songs we will play tonight. For some reason I can't take my eyes off Trevor. He had this huge smirk plastered on his face the entire time.

Aunt Renee called for a quick break. I took the time to ask her about any news regarding my father.

"Oh that? Sweetie don't worry. That greedy father of yours doesn't seem to be searching for you. Now that you mentioned it, he seems too quiet lately." She then stated, tone getting serious.

"Will he come after me? I know it won't take long until he caught wind about where I am." I quipped anxiuosly.

"Don't worry Alex. He already took my sister and her smile. This time I will never let him take you away." She assures me.

"Besides, I can't have my sought-after singer be taken from me. The bar has been chuggin' all the buzz since you started singing." She changes the mood and showed me all the posts in social media with videos of me singing.

"A-Aunt Renee! Who took these?! What if Dad finds out that's me?!" I almost shouted out of panic.

"Hey! It wasn't me who posted these! Besides, you really don't look like yourself in here - YOU ACTUALLY LOOK BETTER!" She rebutts, leaving me a little bit worried about it.

Out of nowhere an arm wrapped around my shoulders, making me squeal.

"Don't worry twinkles, we're here to beat up those guys who wanna take you! Right guys? " Trevor boldly announces, earning a nod from the other boys and Lana.

"Wait, you know who I really am?" I asked them.

"Of course Alex! Renee had been blasting your songs a few months back. She even had your most famous covers on repeat!" Lana confirmed. I looked at Aunt Renee, and she seems to be a bit flustered about the fact.

"That's very thoughtful of you, Aunt Renee. I remembered you said one time how much you hated my songs, eh?" I asked cheekily.

"Hey! Since when you got the balls to put me in the spot like that, eh?" She replied while looking at the Lana and the rest devilishly.

Its about an hour before our first set, I took the time to browse online to check how my Dad's company has been going. I thought Strings&Vinyl was in a bind after I left - until I saw an article from a press conference regarding the cancellation of my most recent tour.
