[Alex' POV]

I woke up not to the alarm from my clock, but from the noise coming from outside my room. I shot up, and realized that it's just me, Trevor, and James right now here at the apartment. Just the mere thought of them fighting made me dash towards my door to see what exactly is happening outside.

After getting out of my room, I found Trevor and James in the kitchen. They are now arguing over something. Nothing too serious yet, but I don't wanna take  my chances and walked towards them.

"This is how Alex likes his eggs! Lightly scrambled with a bit of cream!" James exclaims.

"Well, he's been liking how I cook my eggs. He likes them sunny side up, with the yolk a bit runny." Trevor talks back.

I then realize that both of them were holding pans while they cooked the eggs. I took a seat at the kitchen counter, which made them recognize my presence.

"Morning Alex!" / "G'morning twinkles!" Both of them greeted, then started glaring at each other when they both greeted me at the same time.

"James, Trev, what is going on? I thought there was a fire or something because of all those yelling..." I said while scrunching my eyes, now feeling sleepy again after finding out the case of all the noise.

"Tell this badboy here that you like your eggs scrambled!" James exclaimed. He then starts to plate the eggs and placed it in front of me.

"Ahem. Scrambled eggs are overrated. Twinkles, tell this geek that you like my eggs more. You've been eating my eggs since you came here..." Trevor tries to convince me, emphasizing that I had been eating  his eggs while he plated two of them and placed it beside James' scrambled eggs.

This is when I realized what was happening - they had been trying to outcook each other by preparing a breakfast for me. I never thought I will have to go through this kind of situation in my life. And like always, I felt my cheeks warm up again.

"You both know I can't eat all this, right?" I asked them both, and they stopped glaring at each other and then turned to me with defeated faces. It looked like both of them lost some game.

"Okay okay. I appreciate you both that you took the time to cook this. I think it'll be better if we all ate them, sounds fair?" I then took the plates and placed them in the dining table.

"Since you're both in front of the stove already, can I ask you to finish the cooking? James, go get some bacon from the fridge. Trev, can you take care of the coffee? I guess you know how I like my cup of coffee, right?" I told them. Both of them stood straight as if they were soldiers acknowledging an order from a commander.

I went back to my room and headed to the bathroom to fix myself. A few moments later I got back outside to a table full of food, and the two boys now sitting at the same seats they were seated at during dinner last night. So I walked to the table and took my seat.

"Wow! This is great! Thank you both!" I thanked them. James put on a big smile, while Trevor gave me a small but cute smile.

And with that, we ate breakfast. But not while the two boys still going on about which of them had cooked the better eggs.

After breakfast, I asked James to work on the dishes, while Trevor started preparing to head down to the bar so we can start practicing. I also asked James to head down too so I can introduce him to the staff.
