We are back in the basement. El is laying on the couch. Mike was at the edge of her feet.
"What was Will saying?" Mike asks.
"Like home. Like home but dark?" I answer.
"And empty." Lucas says.
"Empty and cold." Dustin says.
"Wait, did he say cold?" Dustin asks.
"I don't know. The stupid radio kept going in and out." Lucas answers.
"It's like riddles...In the dark." Dustin says.
"Like home. Like his house?" Mike asks.
"Or maybe like Hawkins." Lucas says.
"Upside down." El mumbles.
"What'd she say?" Lucas asks.
"Upside down." I repeat looking at the D&D board realizing something.
"What?" Lucas asks confused.
"Upside down." I say then head over to the table.
"When El showed us where Will was, she flipped the board over, remember?" I ask flipping the game board upside down. Mike's eyes widen and he walks over.
"Upside down. Dark. Empty." Mike says getting it.
"Exactly." I say to him.
"Do you understand what they're talking about?" Lucas asks.
"No." Dustin answers. I groan.
"Guys, come on, think about it. When El took us to find Will, she took us to his house, right?" I ask.
"Yeah. And he wasn't there." Lucas says.
"But what if he was there? What if we just couldn't see him? What if he was on the other side?" I ask. Dustin and Lucas look at one another. I flip the board right-side up.
"What if this is Hawkins..." I say then Mike flips it back upside down.
"And this is where Will is?" Mike asks.
"The Upside Down." Mike and I say.
