We are at the school gym sitting on the bleachers. El has her head on Mike's shoulder and I'm on the other one. El has a towel around her. Nancy and Jonathan aren't around. Mike is bouncing his leg really badly. All of the sudden Mike stands up.
"Whoa." I say as he grabs my hand and pulls me with him. We got outside.
"Nancy? Jonathan?" Mike calls.
"Mikey, the cars gone." I say scared.
. . .
We are back in the gym.
"They're gone." Mike says as we walk up to the rest of the party.
"What?" Lucas says.
"Nancy and Jonathan. His car's gone." I say.
"They're probably just sucking faces somewhere.' Dustin says.
"Gross." Lucas says.
"No. No way!" Mike says.
"Did they go with the chief?" Dustin asks.
"I don't know." Mike answers.
"No." El answers.
"What? Did you see them? Do you know where they went?" I ask.
"Yes." El answers.
"Where? Where did they go?" Mike asks.
"Demogorgon." El answers.
"Oh god." I say. . . .
We are standing in a circle. El is still sitting on the bleachers.
"Guys, guys! This is crazy. We can't just wait around." Mike says.
"Mike, in case you forgot, we're still fugitives. The bad men are still looking for us." Lucas says.
"Yeah, and we don't even know where your sister is." Dustin says.
"El can find them." I say. Mike nods.
"Mike, Rox, look at her." Dustin says pointing to her. We look and see her with her head on her knees.
"I still think we should stick to the chief's plan." Dustin says.
"Exactly. We stay here, keep El out of sight and keep her safe. That's the most important thing, remember? Besides, she's okay. She's with Jonathan." Lucas says.
"Yeah, and she's kind of a badass now, so." Dustin says then starts to leave.
"Well, where are you going? You just said stick to the plan!" Mike says.
"I am. I'm just gonna go get some chocolate pudding. I'm telling you, Lunch Lady Phyllis hoards that shit." Dustin answers.
