Chapter 6: The Monster

Roxanna's Pov

Mike and I are in our basement sitting on the couch. El never came back last night. All of the sudden Mike stands up and destroys the fort.

Dustin is over. We are talking about El.

"I just...I can't believe she didn't come back." Mike says.

"She's gotta be close." Dustin says.

"She said it wasn't safe. She just messed up the compasses because she wanted to protect us. She didn't betray us." Mike says.

"Mike, calm down." I say.

"I shouldn't have yelled at her. I never should've done that." Mike says.

"Mike, this isn't your fault." I say.

"Yeah, it's Lucas'." Mike says

"It wasn't his fault, either." Dustin says.

"It wasn't his fault?" Mike asks.

"No." Dustin and I answer.

"So you're saying he wasn't way out of line?" Mike asks.

"Totally, but so were you!" Dustin answers.

"What?" Mike asks.

"And so was Eleven." I say.

"Oh, give me a break!" Mike says.

"No, Michael, you give us a break!" I shout. Mike looks at me as his eyes widen.

"All three of you were being a bunch of little asshats! Dustin and I were the only reasonable ones." I say angrily.

"But the bottom line is you pushed first. And you know the rule. You draw first blood..."

"No! No way! I'm not shaking his hand." Mike says cutting Dustin off.

"You're shaking his hand!" Dustin says.

"No, I'm not." Mike says.

"This isn't a discussion. This is the rule of law. Obey or be banished from the party. Do you wanna be banished?" Dustin asks.

"No." Mike answers.

"Good." I say. Dustin and I get are stuff on.

"Where are we going?" Mike asks.

"Where do you think? We're going to get Lucas." I answer. I grab Mike and I's bag.

"And then we're gonna find Eleven." Dustin says. I toss Mike his bag.

We made it to Lucas'. We ring his doorbell. He opens the door and sighs.

"What do you want?" Lucas asks annoyed. Dustin and I hit Mike. He rolls his eyes.
