Chapter 5 - Lose More and a Little Bit More

Jamie walked towards the direction of the school and saw Jae walking with a kid beside him. They both seem happy walking towards the school bus.

Jae spotted her right away. He waved at her, signaling her to come, and of course, she did.

"By the way, this is my brother. He's Taehyun." He introduced him to Jamie. Taehyun seemed excited to meet her. He still has these cute baby cheeks, but Jamie's sure that he'll turn out just as handsome as his older brother.

"She's pretty. Is she your girlfriend?" Little Taehyun asked embarrassing Jae who's already starting to blush. His face was starting to heat up. It was embarrassing.

"What are you talking about? She's my friend and you're making her uncomfortable." He told Taehyun who frowned at him.

"You suck then. This really beautiful girl isn't your girlfriend." He insulted his brother. He's only a kid, Jae can forgive him of course. Kids can be too insensitive at times. They still don't know a lot about their surroundings. He's not expecting his baby brother to be cautious with his words.

"Beautiful? She's fat." This really skinny girl with the same uniform as Jamie interrupted. Taehyun noticed Jamie gripping on her backpack tighter. That's not not a good thing to tell a person.

Taehyun took a good look of Jamie and saw her the same way he saw her earlier. She's so beautiful. Her smile can brighten up your whole day.

That is when she was still smiling a moment ago. This girl took away that beautiful smile.

"When you insult people like that and make everyone silent how do you feel Noona?" He asked the skinnier girl just beside Jamie. Everybody was speechless and even Jae couldn't  say a word to stop Taehyun. "This life is a one big problem to those who only see the bad things out of all the good things. Jamie noona is pretty. Very pretty. Lose weight or gain weight, how about you? You can gain or lose weight, you have a beautiful face and figure, but you have that ugly personality that comes with it. I don't like being with people who only talks about how they hate every part of the world." The kid said which made Jae clasp his hand on Taehyun's mouth and sent him towards the school bus.

"See you after school." He waved at his brother goodbye.

"That wasn't nice." Somin told Jae who looked apologetic. "You can ask every guy at school and they will all tell me that they want to date me. Ask every girl and they want my body." She hissed. "Jamie, how about you spend time with me. I can give you the body that you've always dreamed of. I can make you skinny as me." Somin tempted her.

"She doesn't need it." Jae tried to pry but Jaemie moved forward. "Please. Please help me be skinny." She sounded like pleading.

Why?

Why is she so desperate now?

Jae used to admire how she wasn't shaken by every girl in the classroom who kept calling her fat.

"Cool, you need to prepare a tracksuit every afternoon. We're going to run laps. Don't worry, Matthew, my boyfriend will be there to guard us." Somin told Jamie who's already smiling.

"I'll come too." Jae presented himself. If you can't  beat them, join them. If he can't stop Jamie from this, then he should join them instead. That way, he can make sure that nobody would make fun of Jamie.

"Sounds cool to me." Somin told Jae, shaking his hand.

Somin's from a different class section. She's like the beauty pageant queen of the high school. After they graduate and leave this school, she will definitely make her mark and if ever she would have a daughter who will attend this school toon she would be pressured to follow her mother's footsteps.
