The night was staring to deepen when Jamie got tired of running. She checked the time and the steps she took and realized that she already gathered 28k steps, and she's been sprinting and walking for four hours.

Woodz noticed her stop and sprinted towards her. "Let's call it a day." He said, handing his tumbler to Jamie. The water isn't enough but it was a big help. She already emptied hers after running like a horse tonight.

"By the way, I like your fighting spirit. I wish I have it." Woodz remarked, before escorting Jamie towards his car. He dropped her off and made sure she got in before he drove off.

Jamie entered the house welcomed by glares of disapproval by her cousins and Shannon's best friend, Lee Hangyeol. It was a mystery how they both fit on the couch while Somi was seated at the floor, doing some kind of homework.

"Who was that? That's not Jae." The way Somi said it, it was as if Jamie was cheating on Jae.

They're not even dating, so they didn't have to come at her like this.

"That's a senior from my school. I know that car." Hangyeol muttered to Shannon, who was beside him, playing with her phone. She wasn't even that interested anymore before Hangyeol told her that.

Jamie raised a brow, wondering why these two aren't uncomfortable being this close to each other. Though Jamie was aware that Hangyeol was basically Shannon's only friend since she moved in Korea. Most of the Korean words that she knows was taught by Hangyeol.

"Jamie, what are you staring at?" Shannon asked Jamie, since she was kinda preoccupied. Hangyeol's been warning her about Woods but she was just standing there, with her thought drifting off.

She snapped back to reality and simply smiled when she realized that Hangyeol's hand is now around Shannon's shoulders and plying with her hair. "You guys look like you're dating." She remarked to change the topic.

Hangyeol snatched his hand right away, to avoid any malicious thoughts from Jamie.

"Hey! I was using that?" Shannon complained, grabbing his arm, resting her neck on it, just like a neck pillow. There was nothing he could do but let her use his arm like an object.

"That? You mean my arm?" Hangyeol clicked his tongue in annoyance. He kinda regret that he spoiled Shannon too much. It was kinda suffocating that she couldn't survive a day without him. But he kinda likes the way she always looks for him. Being needed gives him some kind of comfort that he exists on this world. "You really need to stop using me as an object so people won't assume things." He protested, though he's used to it anyways. He just complain but, still doesn't seem to mind.

Shannon rolled her eyes in response. "I only care for myself. As long as I'm comfortable, I'm satisfied. Now, play with my hair until I fall asleep, if you want to go home sooner. This headache is killing me. Go ahead and play with my hair, now!" She ordered. "How long do I have to wait?" She asked in annoyance. Hangyeol eventually started playing with her hair.

"Here you go, your highness! You didn't have to be so bitchy about it. If only you took my advice and stopped staying up so late, this never would've happened. You're aware that this happens when you don't have enough sleep. Idiot!" Hangyeol said while massaging her head instead of playing with her hair.

Shannon grabbed Hangyeol's hand, placing it to where her head is throbbing. "You're massaging the wrong part!" She complained as if Hangyeol would know where it hurts. "Make it stop! Make it stop! I feel like I'm going to die." She whined, punching Hangyeol's chest.

Both Somi and Jamie looked in each other's eyes with sympathy. Not for Shannon but for Hangyeol, who's being a punching bag.

Somi shook her head in disbelief. "You need a boyfriend! This is not a best friend's responsibility." She scolded, slapping Shannon's leg, causing her to switch places with Hangyeol, using him as a human shield.
