Violet's POV
3 weeks. It has been three weeks since I have told Ty that I liked him. It also has been three weeks since Ty has spoken to me. He is avoiding me like I am some sort of sickness or something. If he is 10 feet away from me, he might get sick. To be honest, I wish Ty would just look at me, but he doesn't. He is never home when I knock on his door or at school he transfered out of all my classes. I didn't mean to make things so complicated between us. I wish I never opened my big mouth. Today is Thursday which means tomorrow is the dance. I haven't found a dress so I'm going shopping today with Katherine. Keith and Katherine have been dating for a month or so and they make the cutest couple. Callie is going to the dance with Kyle because apparently they couldn't find "dates." I'm just taking it as they both know they like each other but don't want to do anything about it. Danny and I have reconneted in a way. I mean we aren't dating, but a little more than just friends and I don't really mind I guess. Heck, I don't even know if I like where I am standing with Danny. LIfe is too confusing and it needs not to be.
I looked at the clock and school ends in 2 minutes. I'm just here tapping my pen against the desk waiting for the sweet song that everyone loves to hear at 2:50 on school days. "Ms. Day, are you even paying attention to what I am saying?" My teacher asked me. I didn't even bother replying because the bell rung. I was out of the door faster than you can say pickles. I didn't even make a stop at my locker because I just wanted to get home and go shopping so I could sleep. I got in my car waiting for Danny, Kyle, and Callie. I'm now giving Callie a ride home because she says her house is on my way home when really its not, she just wants to spend more time with Kyle. As I was scrolling through instagram, someone tapped my window. I looked up and saw it was Zoey. I lifted my eyebrow at her and she just motioned me to roll my window down. I did and once it was completely down, I said, "Yes?" "I wouldn't be asking you this if I wasn't in desperate need." She said rudely. "Okay, and that is?" I pushed. "Can I have a ride home?" She asked. I stared at her for 30 seconds and then answered, "No." "Why not?" She whinned. "Because I don't like you." I stated. "That's not a valiad reason." She agrued. "I know it's not, but you didn't have a valiad reason to hate me and dumped me for better friends." I said back. "You were dating my boyfriend." She fired back. "Ex-boyfriend. I was dating your ex-boyfriend. And if you would have let me explain you would have known that I was only dating him at first to get back at Ty for being mean to me, but then in middle of fake dating we made it real." I said. "Still, best friends don't use ex-boyfriends as fake boyfriends." She exclaimed getting madder by the second. "Ex-bestfriends." I reminded her. She looked down at me with realization of what I said. She nodded and walked away. I felt bad that our friendship had to end that way, but somethings aren't meant to be.
I waited another 5 minutes before they all got in the car. I gave everyone a smile and pulled out of the parking lot. "Have you gotten a dress yet Vi?" Cal asked. I looked in the review mirror at Callie and said, "No I'm going today." "WIth who?" Cal asked. "Katherine, Keith's girlfriend." I said. "Can I come?" Cal asked trying to seem like she was intruding. "Sure. I'm leaving as straight as I get home so I'll just take you home with me." I said. "KK." Then Callie went back to talking with Kyle. "Hey do you think you have an idea of what kind of dress color it will be." Danny asked from the side of me. I glanced at him and said, "Yeah I am going for more of a light pink homecoming dress." "Great, thanks. I'll pick you up tomorrow around 5:45 because my mom wants picture so we will have to drive back to my house." Danny said. "Okay that's fine with me." I said looking over at Danny to give him a smile.
I pull up to his driveway and let him get out. "I'll see you tomorrow Violet." Danny said through the open window. "Sure." I said giving him a wave goodbye. Once he got inside, I let out a loud sign and started the car again. "Are you okay?" I jumped a little at the question because I forgot I had people in the car. I looked back at them and said, "Just dandy."
