CHAPTER 2
"Hey Han, I just landed." I said into my phone.
Hannah yawned and said "You do realize what time it is right?"
"My phone says its seven o' clock, wait what time is it there?"
"It's three in the morning!" she said laughing quietly.
"Did I wake you up? I'm so sorry I forgot how much of a time difference there is between LA and England." How could I be so stupid I can't believe this.
"Yeah you woke me up, but its fine."
"Really? Are you sure?"
"Yes Liam, I'm sure, why did you call?"
"I... I... I just wanted to say goodnight."
She laughed and said "Well goodnight." I could just picture her smiling as she said it.
"Goodnight babe, I love you and miss you."
"Love you too, goodnight." She said and the next second she was gone.
I stood up and grabbed my bag from the overhead compartment. Then I followed the security guards off the plane, with Louis behind me kicking my bag like the child he is.
That was the one thing I hated about traveling so much, not seeing my family, friends, and my girlfriend.
I had been dating Hannah for over a year and a half now. Her older sister Lauren was my sister Ruth's roommate at University and the two of them had become really close. On June 10 2010, me and my parents had gone to visit Ruth at University and help her get her stuff packed up since school had ended, and Lauren's family happened to also be there on that same day to help her pack.
From the moment Ruth and Lauren introduced me to Hannah I knew that we had a connection, she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my life, and I will never forget the first time I heard her say my name that day.
Let's just say that Hannah and I didn't really help our sisters much with packing that day, we just sat there and talked until both of our parents said we had to go. We exchanged phone numbers, and on the car ride home I asked her out and she said yes.
Hannah and I only lived about twenty minutes away from each other, so any chance that we got we would go to the movies, or go out to dinner, or something like that. With us it didn't really matter though, we just loved every second that we were together.
Things are very different now though. Since being on the X Factor I'm always on tour, or recording, or doing a photoshoot, and I'm not at home very often. Don't get me wrong, this is my dream and I wouldn't trade it for anything, but I miss Hannah sometimes... well all the time.
And I can tell she misses me too. She always tells me that shes fine and that she's happy for me, but I can tell that there's a part of her that wishes I was around more often. Like when she goes out with her friends and their boyfriends are there and she's alone, those are probably the times that get to her. Or when there's a new comedy out in the theater and I'm not there to see it with her. She probably misses me a lot then too.
"Oh my God, Liam look how many people there are outside!" Niall said, standing next to me.
I looked up from staring at my shoes to see hundreds of people standing outside the airport screaming and chanting "We want 1D, we want 1D."
Thats what makes me really happy, seeing the fans and all they do for us. They are truely incredible, every single one of them.
"Paul, are we gonna go out and see some of them?" I asked.
"I don't know about that Liam, airport security in America is a lot more strict then they are in the UK, and there are a lot of fans there."
"As long as someone tells them to be calm and stuff we could go out though right? I'm sure the fans would listen if someone told them we would come if they did." I asked hopefully.
Paul thought for a second and said, "I really don't think we can Liam, we have to get to the hotel and check in and everything, and I have a meeting with some of the people at the studio, I just don't think theres enough time to meet all those people, if security even okays it in the first place."
"Oh okay... well can you ask?"
"I'll try, but I really don't think we can do it." Paul said as he walked over to talk to one of the airport security men.
"I wish we could just meet every single one of them." Louis said, looking through the window at the huge crowd of hopeful fans.
"Yeah I know right? I still can't believe how many fans we have here when we've hardly been here." Niall said.
"Are we having a signing here in LA? I don't remember." Zayn asked the rest of us.
"Um... I don't know I don't remember." I said. I knew we were having one in Dallas because they won the Bring 1D to US competition, but I had forgotten where else there would be signings.
"Yeah I don't remember either, but I'm so excited for the signings though, those are the best." Niall said smiling.
"Yeah, next to performing, thats my favorite part." Louis said, smiling back at him.
"It's just so cool to like, see the fans, like happy and stuff, it makes me happy." Harry said.
"Yeah me too, I love our job." I said as we all started waving to the hundreds of fans outside our window. They were all there for us, every single one of them. A couple of them glanced at the window and saw us there, and then the whole crowd went mental.
They all started screaming, and jumping, and waving, and crying, and it was all for me. All for us. All for One Direction.
I love my job.
