No, I shouldn’t read it, its Liam’s note from Hannah, that would be wrong.
Was I curious, yeah of course, but she had left it in front of his door, and I had just happened to find it.
I knocked on the door.
“Liam! Niall! Are you guys up?”
“Yeah Lou, one sec.” I heard Liam say from the other side of the door a few seconds before he came and opened it for me.
“Is Niall up too? We have to go soon.” I said as I walked into the room.
“Yeah, he got up hours ago, I think he went to Haley’s room or something.”
“Niall got up hours ago?”
“Yeah, weird I know.” Liam said, laughing.
“Well we have a show at 3 today so we all have to start getting ready.”
“Okay let me just grab my shoes.” Liam said as he walked towards the closet, grabbed his black converse, and quickly slipped them on, “Let’s go.” He said looking back at me.
“Okay.” I started walking towards the door, “Wait Liam, before we go.”
“What’s that?” Liam said as I pulled the folded piece of paper out of my pocket.
“I found it outside your door, it says it’s from Hannah.” I said as I handed it to him.
He carefully unfolded the paper and began to read it.
The note must have been a short one because a few seconds later he crumpled it up and threw it to the ground.
“She’s gone.” He said as he stared at the note on the floor.
“Why? What happened?”
“Her parents didn’t know she was here, and they found out.”
“I thought you said she talked to her parents.”
“That’s what she told me.”
“Wait so her parents made her fly all the way back to England?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m really sorry Liam, I know how much you love her, I wish her parents would give you a little slack because of the whole situation and stuff, and-“
“I think I have to do it.” Liam interrupted me.
“Do what?”
“End it.” He said as he kicked the ball of paper under the table.
“End what…… wait…. You don’t mean…”
“I’m going to breakup with her.”
What? Where did that come from? Just seconds ago we were talking about how much he loved her and now….
Liam took his phone out of his pocket and started to walk into the other room.
“Wait Liam!” I said as I followed him.
“What?” He said as he turned around. He sounded really upset.
“Why are you doing it? You love her. You guys have always made it work and-“
“Because,” he interrupted me, “Because we are never together and she is always alone. And her parents hate me and I have pretty much destroyed her relationship with them.”
“Yeah, but they should be more understanding.”
“But they’re not, and I can’t change that. And she gets so much hate from people online and I always miss everything and….” He fell onto the floor and brought his arm to his cheek as a small tear dropped from his eye, “I just…. I just can’t stand to see her hurt anymore.”
