Yeonjun pov
Soobin didn't come home and everyone went looking for him even though yena noona told them that he'll come back tomorrow, that he just went somewhere. But his mom being part of the council just can't hold herself. It's almost 1 am and they didn't find him.
Jungwon (aunty) : You still haven't found him?!
Shape shifter : We searched everywhere ma'am.
Yena : Mom! I told you he just went somewhere!
Jungwon : Even if he just went somewhere, why can't they track him?
everyone pauses as a thought comes up.
Jungwon : He lost his ring, did he?
Aunty say looking at yena, sungmin then me. Well soobin it was nice living with you. Aunty's face lost its worried expression and it was replaced with a serious one.
Jungwon : Where is he?
Soobin : I'm here.
We all look at him. He looks so... Tired? Did he sleep or what...
Jungwon : YAHHH!!! HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL ME!?
Soobin : Chill. I got the ring. And please don't ground me. *does aegyo*
MY GHADD.. THAT will haunt me for a hundred years. Aunty hugs him tightly. Spoiled brat.
Yeonjun : Aunty you're not gonna let him go that easily, are you? You're part of the council after all.
Jungwon : *lets go* of-of course not! Soobin will- He will not be allowed to go anywhere else but school, and i'll take his phone for the rest of the week.
He looks at me feeling so betrayed. I only smirk as I roll my eyes and went to my room. Serves him right.
A few moments ago~Y/N pov
I woke up in the middle of the night when I heard someone's voice. "Okay, OKay! I'll go back!" Is someone robbing me?! I quickly turn on the lights to find no one. Almond was also nowhere to be found. I'm don't get scared that easily so I just brushed it off. I took a bottle of almond milk and went back to sleep.
THE NEXT DAY~
I was on my way to the orphanage to volunteer. I go there to teach kids and to visit my beloved mother *jin*. It wasn't that far so I arrived quickly. I went inside and the children welcome me with warm hugs.
Y/N : It's nice to see you again! Where Mama Jin?
Jin : My prodigal daughter has returned! *fake cries*
Y/N : STob it!
I went to the backyard where the play ground is and play with the kids for a while then I noticed this kid. He wasn't familiar so i'm guessing he just got here. I sat down next to him and he looks up at me.
Y/N : Hi~ I'm Y/N. What's your name?
Taehyung : I'm Taehyung.
Y/N : Why aren't you playing?
Taehyung : I can't.
He says as he points at his leg, he was wearing a cast. How could I have not notice that. He looks down again, I shouldn't have said that it only made him sadder.
Y/N : Well, not yet. But you can do a lot of fun things while you wait for your leg to heal, like read, draw or write.
I took out my notebook as I began reading him some poems that I wrote.
I bend but do not break.
I've been lost, but I'm not a loser.
I'm a wreck, but I'm not totaled.
I'm fractured but not broken.
He looked up and smiled at me as I continued the poem.
I've failed, but I'm not a failure.
I've fallen hard but can get up again.
I'm isolated, but still I'm free.
I have been destroyed but will rebuild.
My heart is broken, but it will mend.
See, no matter how close I come to breaking, I just continue to bend.
Y/N : I'm glad you like it. Did you like it so much that you can't stop smiling?
Taehyung : I'm smiling because I just realized how pretty you were while reading.
What? This kid can flirt. I did not expect that or did I expect what happened next.
??? : She does look pretty, does she?
Y/N : Yeonjun?! WHat aRe yoU dOiNg HeRe?!
Yeonjun : To adopt a child because my wife doesn't want to have kids of our own.
Y/N : WHAT?!
Yeonjun : Just kidding. I had nothing to do so I figured out it wouldn't hurt if I tried volunteering for stuff like this.
Out of all places, why here? I felt like screaming. My heart would burst at this rate.
Taehyung : Are you her boyfriend?
Y/N : No, Of course not! We just know each other~
Taehyung : Great! Because when I grow up, I'll ask you to be my girlfriend! Wait for me okay noona?
I chuckle at him. I wish I could but after what happened I don't think I want to be with anyone anymore.
Jin : DiNnEr!!!!
The children ran back inside to eat except taehyung cuz he can't run, he walked. Soon everyone finished eating and I went to clean the dishes. I picked up the plates when yeonjun started doing the same.
Y/N : why are you still here?
Yeonjun : I'm also volunteering.
He said as he made his way to the sink. "I can do it by myself though." Damn this is awkward. there was only one sink so I kinda bumped to him for a few times. Finally after a thousand years we finished. He insisted on putting the plates back so I went outside at the playground. After a few minutes he went out. "let's go?" I follow him out went on our separate ways. Too bad the day ended so fast. At least I got to have fun and forget about him a little bit.
